When you think of insanity, you see strait jackets, wide eyes, and white walls. Unless you are insane. Then you would know that the walls are not that white (at least, not after your first apology letter to the guard you kicked a bit too hard.), the jackets not that strait (mine has three buckles missing! Three!), and not everyone's eyes are wide (I actually was born like this). My name is Odette Lafontaine and I live in Tescott Town Asylum, home to the most mentally unstable people the North eastern American coast. This is the story of me overcoming my insanity. Or, depending how you look at it, giving a sorry attempt.
............................................................................................
If there's one thing t hate more than little old towns where everyone knows everyone, its little old towns where everyone knows everyone for the insane. That's Tescott town in a disturbing little nutshell. When the accident happened, we moved to Tescott town. And by we, I mean me and my 9 siblings. Just a note to all you future parents, if you drop the kid and it doesn't cry, consult the nearest doctor and hope your floors are cheaper than they look. At least the first one (just to know what's in the future). My parents were at sea, boozing and enjoying the calming feeling of sea sickness and 4 too many apple martinis(light weight, all of them) and they left us here, in a too big house and a town of normal people, who acted like psychopaths. Which is OK, I guess.
"Odette! Odette! There you are, baby girl!" My older brother, Tapio came running from isolation. I barely see him because he's almost always isolated. But it's good for him. He does better alone and the other patients never get to pick on him for being gay.
"I'm never going to isolation again!" Yeah, right, "And I'm sure you were kidding about dropping the soap, cause I did, and honey let me tell you 'bout the boy standing behind me, oh girl-"
"NO Tapio, please stop! I have no interest in your soap dropping affairs!"
Tapio gave me a 'Oh no she didn't!' and went on about his new TDH boyfriend with a rainbow fringe and not one but two arms covered in tattoos. I took this time to really look at my brother. He was only 3 or 4 inches taller than me, very skinny for his age, with a subtle hint of abs and an abnormally long torso and dark blonde hair, which ran in the family. His skin was on the verge of translucency (like most white people in this town) and his eyes almost as wide as mine, which is saying a lot. They were an unrealistic electric green, which most people took for contacts, and were framed by thick, long lashes that made every girl he came across jealous beyond belief.
We looked nothing alike. Our similarities began and ended with long torsos and high metabolism (which isn't always a gift). My hair was strait blonde, due to years of bleaching and dying. Most of my sibling's eyes were green but a nice, translucent color. Mine were what some would call camouflage: green, brown, and black. They could also be described as diarrhea, but I try to not compare any of my facial features with things that came out the other end. I was way skinnier than half the crazy girls in this town (the other half suffering from a horrible eating disorder, bless their souls), and I'm positive that Tapio has never had to wear size 6 shoes.
"Oh my Lordy!! What was that?!" Tapio screamed. I had no idea what he was talking about, until it happened again.
Tapio and I should've heard the screams. We should have left town when we had the chance. We were stupid. Because, right that instant, my thoughts were rudely interrupted by a howl. A bone chilling, overly dramatic howl. You're probably wondering why there's howls and shit in a mental asylum (or maybe your not) and why my brother enjoyed dropping the soap, so let's take this from the beginning:It all started when I missed Teen Wolf...
