Author's Note: Hey, readers and fans. Now, I would like to say this. Daria is a tv show from the 90s into the early 2000. She is my favorite cartoon of all time and I love the show. All rights of the show goes to the show creator and production. I'm not stealing nor plagiarism anything from the tv show at all. Although this book does contains the characters, I do not copy the script nor copy the whole series. This is my book and every chapter has different scenarios and situations that occur like peer pressure, cyberbullying, self-harm etc. This book is mature and is different from the TV show. Please comment, like and vote for my book.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a quiet day for everyone in Lawndale. Pretty much normal. My parents didn't exactly told me we were moving. I think they did but from their long introduction before the part that they tell us, I obviously didn't care because as we all know, everyone lies, no expectations. So for my parents to give me a lecture about how nice it would be in Lawndale and the local high school for Quinn and I to attend to would be a good thing...well, it's the same. The same normal thing and I don't believe in expectations. I'll probably ride a pony one day and find prince charming to live ever after with. Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?
Dad is driving to the local high school. I guess by 'local', I mean a 30 min drive and 20 min walk from home to hell... school I meant. As Quinn sitting in shotgun and of course, myself in the back. While everyone has a excited and nervous face on, I just have a plain expression on my face.
"Girls, I just want you to realize that your mother and I know that it's not easy moving to a whole new town-- especially for you, Daria, right?'', Jake speaks while driving the car.
Yup, that's me. Daria Morgendorffer. A 15 year old brainiac, but shy person. I guess you can say I'm a weird person to others but for me I'm an average girl who's different from everyone else.
"Did we move?", I ask.
Jake laughs, " I'm just saying you don't make friends as easily as... Some people.
"Quinn, for instance?"
" That's not what I meant, necessarily. The point is, it's the first day for both of you girls, and it could be difficult."
As Dad gave a lecture about the first day of school, I turn the radio on and put the volume up.
" Sorry, Dad. You need to speak up. I can't hear you." I shout.
Obviously, he turns off the radio to go back to his lecture.
" Where was I? Oh, yeah...
* A few mins later*
" Don't get upset if it takes people a little to warm up to you, Daria"Quinn gets out and is approach by many students. Girls asking her who is she and she looks awesome. Boys are asking her out to movies or dinner.
That's Quinn. Quinn is the outgoing one in the family. She was popular in the old town. She's probably bound to be here. That's the difference between me and her. The only reason I'm not social is because people can start drama any time soon or later.
Let me give you advice: People have expectations and think all these stereotypes that the students can be. This could be mean girls but we can't be Regina George or Cady. Everyone thinks in high school that there's the jocks, cheerleaders, nerds, outcast etc. but no one should put labels on people. Or else, they can listen to it and become it until the end of high school. Stick to reality, people. It's a sick sad world here and you have to face the reality of it. It's not like mean girls nor high school musical. So let me get straight to the point that high school can be a bitch where they can be nice or rude people that you'll meet. Lots of drama. If you're lucky, you won't get into a fight. Finally, 99.9% of high school relationships can failed. So cut the crap with that bullshit you called " High school Sweethearts". Now, let's get back to school shall we?
As I walk through the halls where people have looks that you can define as disgust. I don't mind. Finally, I catch up with the tour that the principal told us about.
Ms. Li spoked, " As you can see, our Lawndale High Students take great pride in their school. That's why you'll each be taking a small psychological exam to spot any little clouds on the horizons as you sail the student seas of Lawndale High."

May I remind you that this is 21st century where technology is relatable and social media has control over kids, teens and adults. Every one can waste a whole hour taking a perfect selfie for Instagram. Snapchat is the new thing with their ridiculous but pretty realistic filters for every one to try. Facebook is a relatable source for you to find friends and watch videos of all kind. Twitter is still there but it's not all that for people to use. Celebrities used all these social media to build up their fan base. Plastic surgery is a big thing for them. Hey, look at Kylie Jenner, she had a big image and gain fan base just because of plastic surgery and how the results were pretty well in her case. Despite the fact that she's trying to have a huge fan base like her other sisters. Besides that, the LGBT society has grow. It led to a lot of people to allow themselves to come out. There's also a gay pride parade each year in June to celebrate their community. Besides that, there's a lot of chaos that occur around the world. All I have to say is that everyone should be equal and not have separate treatment based on gender, race, sexuality or religion.
