Charley's POV~
Being tortured by five teenage boys, at 10 in the morning, on a Saturday (yeah, you heard me, 10 on a Saturday morning, like what are these guys? Nocturnal?) is no bloody fun at all!Okay, so 'torture' is a kinda strong word.
I was woken by Austin jumping on my bed, my bed! I sprung up to see Blake flicking through my books; Jayden was being, well, Jayden, you know like chill and stuff; Daniel, the prick that he is, was going through my wallet; and none other than Reid freaking West was going through my underwear draw! Yep, the wonderful world of cotton and lace was being invaded by Reid; the pervert that he is. Let's not forget about tampons and all that good stuff.
Why does my brother have so many weird friends?
Let's get some stuff straight: these guys have been friends with Dan for more than 10 years, through good and bad; whether by choice, or force. I wouldn't be able to tell you if they are my friends, they're all just there. They're all pretty decent boys, I guess. Hah, I guess.
Austin Davis: Pranking legend, player. He breaks you down with those hazelly puppy dog eyes and that sexy Irish accent, to the point where if he asked to attempt flying off the White Cliffs of Dover, you wouldn't even think before leaping to your death. Okay, that makes him sound awful, which he's really not from what I've gathered over the last 10 years. Deep down, like deeper than er... deep, Austin Davis is the sweetheart of all sweethearts. Like, he's adorable, but seriously evil, yet lovely, I guess I'd call him Mischievous.
Blake Meers: Smart guy, sweetheart, advice giver, nice player, if that makes any sense at all. I guess it just works for him. If you need anything, he's your man. Advice, tutor, genuine good guy that will kick someone's ass if it's the "right thing to do" or whatever. Anywho, he's pretty chill, and I think he's only labelled "bad boy" because of his association with the other muppets. I'm 100% closest to him, compared to Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest. He's like a second big brother. I guess I'd call him Easygoing.
Jayden Thompson: Bad boy, chilled out, player, fraud expert. He would be the dude that you wildly sprint to like an ape on crack when MI5 are after you and you need to get the hell outta the UK (or whatever) as fast as humanly possible - completely undetected. There's not much to say about him, from me at least. I'm not as associated with him compared to the others, he's just there. From what I can tell, he's an evil genius, he just keeps to himself. I guess I'd call him Chill.... Yet slightly dodgy, and kinda terrifying.
Reid West: Player, Bad Boy, Player, Extreme Idiot, Player, Arse; the list could go on for miles. We've always had a love hate relationship. He hasn't been friends with Daniel that long, only since Year 7, when he was a lanky little twelve-year-old. Let's just say he grew up... Like a lot. Ditched the braces and long hair; and grew into a leather jacket, a tight white t shirt and a sleek pair of RayBan's, with his all black Converse staying the same as usual. As he changed his wardrobe, his personality changed as well, from a sweet, shy boy into a tall, dark and handsome stranger - a heartbreaking, selfish twat, basically.
Ever since then, he's only gotten worse, using girls and throwing them away like pathetic, little tissues. I'll never forget the day the game changed for him. The day the love turned to hate. The day I lost my best friend.
Flashback~
Me and Gray walked through the hallway, hopelessly navigating around on our first day of high school.
"And you haven't seen Reid since last week?" Gray nagged at me. I rolled my eyes at her.
"I've already told you, NO!" I whined at her. She hummed in response, deep in thought. She had always been able to read people like open books, and it was clear to me she was trying to figure out what had happened to Reid. We both knew he was ok, due to the fact he hadn't stopped sharing memes on his Facebook account, but what we didn't understand why he was avoiding us like the plague.Gray was now trying to navigate us around the school building, as I had completely given up. We giggled as we walked through the halls, our steps laced with nerves and excitement. As we turned the corner to get to English, something caught my eye, leaving me frozen in my place. Gray sucked in a harsh breathe beside me.
Olivia Richards - my nemesis, the girl who had been torturing me since Year 3. She was the one who pushed me out of a tree leaving me with a broken arm, the girl that took my chocolate chip cookies, that pulled my hair and tore my artwork of the walls - was pushed up against a locker by, oh yeah... You guessed it: Reid West, my "best friend". Who had happened to be ignoring me and Gray for the past week. He had a completely new attire; his tie loose, shirt untucked, all black converse - going against the schools rules of polishable shoes, not that he seemed to care much about rules - and a leather jacket replacing his blazer. It was like a slap round the face, the shock was. He was groping her in ways that no 14 year old boy should, but to be perfectly honest, she didn't seem to mind!
Tart! I thought to myself, and I could tell Gray was thinking the same. But let's be honest, Reid wasn't exactly in the clear. It wasn't all Olivia the cow's fault, and to be completely honest, me and Gray was more upset by Reid's actions than Olivia's, considering this was her normal routine. Gray was clearly angrier than King Kong on a dodgy LSD and she proved it. In a hallway full of students.
Gray Delilah was not a force to be reckoned with.
She walked over to the "happy couple" tapped Reid on the shoulder, repeating this several times to get his attention, as he clung onto his slut- I mean Olivia! Once he finally managed to tear himself away from her, and he noticed Gray, his eyes widened.
Her next action actually surprised me. She whipped her hand up, to the side of his face, and slapped him. She actually slapped him... Round the face.. Hard!
He jumped back in absolute shock. Rubbing his face, his expression morphed into anger.
"What the hell, Gray?"
"What the hell? What the hell? Is he serious?" She turned to me, an emotionless laugh escaping her. I frowned.
"She's a slut," she snarled at him, "And you're her flavour of the month!"
"You know what, Gray? If you don't like it, do one! Or are you jealous?" He smirked at her. She looked like she was going to explode with rage as he stepped towards her, grabbing her hands. She shoved him backwards. "Get lost! I don't know what happened to you, but I'm not impressed!" She almost shrieked at him, as everyone stood in the corridor gawking at the scene unraveling in front of them.
"Ooh, she's mad. What are you, my mother?" He rolled his eyes at her, the smirk still lingering on his features. Gray stepped back, her eyes glossy.
"Charley?" She whispers. I stepped forward.I tried so hard but nothing was coming out. No words, I couldn't even breathe. The betrayal I felt was more prominent than any other emotion that I've ever experienced in my entire life. Tears swirled in my chocolate eyes, the hallway appeared to be melting through the glossiness.
Gray was ready to cry, shaking slightly next to me. She had always let her emotions get the better of her, and she knew that this could break me. But now, in front of her, Reid and all the people with nothing better to do, I had to hold it together. I could cry later, and at this point I was sure I would.
I turned to Gray:
"C'mon, we don't need him." I sent a cold, emotionless glare in his direction. He surprised me, by actually looking hurt. I wrapped my arms around Gray, pulling her down the hallway.
"Charley-" he called after us.
"No, it's ok. Go back to what you were doing." I forced out, with a smile faker then Olivia's Michael Kors bag. Back to Olivia, she was basically flanking Reid, smugger than the cat that got the cream, with her barbie doll 'squad' watching in amusement.I hated him.
