Quote of the day:
The one who falls and gets up
is much stronger than the one who never fell.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Mira opened her eyes slowly to find herself in a infirmary on a bed in the corner.
"Ah your awake." An old voice came from the right of me. There was an old lady. Her skin was creased from old age. Her eyes were chocolate brown and her hair was grey and white tied up into a tight bun. Where am I?
The memories of what had happened came flooding back. The hooded figures. The pin. The ring. Coming to her senses, Mira looked around and wondered where the heck she was.
"Where am I?" The old lady smiled warmly.
"You're in the infirmary at Evalis School of Magic. We found you passed out right outside the school gates. In fact, the headmistress would like to see you. " It took Mira a minute to process what she had said. Evalis. It all seems so.. Familiar. Before Mira could ask anymore questions, the old lady came in with a boy. He looked no older than 15. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. On his face he had a playful smile on.
"Hi I'm Felix, but you can call me Flash. That's what everyone calls me. They call me that because I'm fast." His words where hard to process because the was talking so fast. He smiled at me again. I couldn't help but return the smile.
"Hi I'm Mira." He nodded and grabbed my wrist. He jerked her out of the hospital bed.
"Come on. Headmistress told me to take you to her when you woke up." He sped off dragging me behind him. Before Mira could take in her surroundings, they where at a big set of double doors.
"Well, have fun, I'll be waiting out here somewhere." Mira gave him a swift nod and he sped off. How does he run that fast? Taking a deep breath, Mira knocked on the door. A faint 'come in' was heard and Mira pushed open the right door. Mira entered a big room. Books where lining the walls. In the middle was a big wooden desk. at that desk was a lady. She had long, wavy, chestnut brown hair and grey eyes. She smiled at me.
"Hello young lady. Please take a seat." She gestured to the seat across from her. Mira carefully walked across the carpeted floor and sat herself in the leather seat.
"Hello, I'm the Headmistress at this school. I know you are confused about many things, but you must figure somethings out yourself. For right now, you are in Evala. Evalis School of magic." Magic? There isn't such thing.
"I'm Mira Dr-" the headmistress cut Mira off mid sentence.
"I know who you are. Just a little advise, don't mention your last name." She smiled at me kindly. She continued speaking.
"I wanted to offer you a place at this school. Seeing that your mother is...well... not here, I think it would be wise for you to stay here." Tears rushed to Mira's eyes. Mum. Trying not to dwell on it, Mira pushed the thoughts out of her head.
"I would love to. Thank you so much." Mira smiled at her. She nodded and looked at her kindly.
"Felix is waiting somewhere outside for you. Just tell him to take you to the east wing. You'll have a roommate. .Her name is Jade.Room number 1900 " Mira nodded and thanked the headmistress again before leaving the double doors. Mira looked around, trying to spot Felix. Mira walked down a flight of stairs to find a group of people. There where 5 older boys surrounding Felix. Two of them where holding him against the wall while one of them that looked like the leader spoke.
"Where you gonna run now? You got nowhere to hide." They all snickered. Felix spat on the leader's cheek.
"Go away Blake." The boy supposedly known as Blake lifted his hand and wiped of the glob of spit from his check. Blake curled his hand up and threw his fist at Felix's stomach. Felix groaned in pain. Mira couldn't take it anymore. She ran over to Blake and shoved him up against the wall. Blake was a good foot taller than Mira, but she didn't seem to care.
"What's your problem? Beating up little kids? Are you that bored of you're life that you have nothing else to do?" Blake tried to push Mira away, but she pushed him back into the wall.
"Aw, look. Felix got a girlfriend?" He asked, mocking him. Mira's fist came in contact with Blake's jaw. She let go of him and got Felix out of the other guy's hold.
"You don't know who your messing with." Blake held up a fist to Mira and Felix.
"If you do that again, I swear to hell, you will wish you where never born." Mira shot them a death glare before they scattered off. Felix smiled at her appreciatively.
"Thanks for that!" Mira nodded in reply before telling him the dorm she was in.
"Im in room 1900." Felix's jaw dropped.
"Whoa! 1900 is the highest! You must have really strong magic." Mira didn't understand anything he was saying. Just smile and nod Mira flashed him a smile and nodded. Felix grabbed her wrist for the second time, and sped off. They stopped at a sign. It said Girls dorm and pointed to the left and Boys dorm and pointed to the right.
"Well I can't go in there." Felix said gesturing to the girls dorm entrance.
"But what you have to do is go to floor 10. You walk all the way down the hallway and you see a door at the end. It should be marked with your room number. You can go in. Thanks again for helping me. I'll see you later!" Mira nodded at Felix and waved. Floor 10. All the way at the end. Mira hopped in the elevator and pressed the tenth button. The elevator dinged and Mira got out. There was a hallway. It was very long and had blue carpet. After about twenty minutes of walking, Mira mad fit to the door on the end. There was a golden plaque that said 1900. Mira put her hand on the brass door knob and opened it. There was a girl in there. She had long, wavy, brown hair and olive green eyes. She had an exited look on her face.
"Finally! I have a roommate! It's been so lonely in here. I'm Jade." I smiled at her.
"I'm Mira." Jade showed Mira her bed. After getting to know each other a bit, Jade offered to show Mira around. The pair headed back to their dorm, chatting along the way. Once they got back, Jade looked at Mira and her nose wrinkled up.
"You need to change. Let's get you into some better clothes." Mira looked down to see her clothes splattered in mud. Jade opened her closet and took out a spare clothes for Mira to have. Mira looked at herself in the mirror. She was very short for her age. She had long, scarlet hair, icy blue eyes, and freckles dotting her face. Mira's shirt was a green crop with a white tank-top underneath. She had long jeans on that had holes on the knees. Jade came rushing in with a slip of paper in her hand.
"I got your schedule from the headmistress." Jade handed the slip of paper to Mira.
"It's the same as mine, so you can come around with me." Mira felt relived she had someone to guide her around this gigantic school.
"Thanks Jade!" Mira gave her a sincere smile.-------------------------------------------------------
