MYA TURNER LIKES TO THINK THAT SHE'S LIVED A PRETTY NORMAL LIFE. Growing up in Canaan, Vermont, didn't really offer anything except normal so there really wasn't a choice. She graduated Valedictorian from her high school and took her talents to Harvard, where she graduated in the top five of her class while double majoring in pre-medicine and biomedical engineering. As of recently, she's become Doctor Mya Turner and with her ultimate end goal to be helping people by improving medical technology, she could really get a job anywhere.

She's managed to have a fairly healthy social life over the past 8 years, as well. She had a normal amount of break-ups and friends as any twenty-seven-year-old would, though it'd never been hard for her. She found living life to her fullest came naturally, especially with how hard her dad pushed 'being normal' for the two of them.

Of course, that's because he's Rufus Turner: the semi-retired hunter who's close associates with Bobby Singer, long-time friend of John Winchester and father figure to the Winchester boys. He stepped away from the life as much as he could after the death of his wife on the Omaha hunt, which has turned into its own tall tale as the years have ticked on and somehow Mya was the one killed and Anita never existed as far as majority of the hunting community is concerned. Suits her father well enough, since he's managed to keep his daughter away from anything that could cause her supernatural harm this long.

Except that he hasn't, really, and she refuses to sit by and watch the apocalypse happen when she knows she can help somehow. The strange voice in her head tells her so.
