Mai's Pov

I was alone at Mari and I's apartment as she went on a early run. Mari is usually at work from 9am in the morning to 4pm in the afternoon. We don't see each other much, sometimes in the mornings, and at night, she goes to sleep early and I go to bed late.

I also work at Smosh Games, but I have a different schedule. I stay on the editing side of the videos because of my 'Video Production' degree in college, and not an acting one. I go there at 3pm and go home at 9pm at night.

I only work on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) and babysit during the week (Monday-Thursday). It being Tuesday, I was babysitting. Surprisingly, babysitting makes a decent amount of money.

I checked my phone for the time and it read 8:02 am. My battery was only 20%, so I plugged it in, hoping it would charge some more before I left for work. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I washed my face then I walked over to my dresser.

I picked out a pair of light-wash skinny jeans, black shirt with white striped t-shirt, and a classic red and black flannel. I grabbed a pair of socks and grabbed a black tattoo choker. I brushed through my blonde hair, put it into a ponytail, and then moved over to my desk. I had dyed my hair awhile ago, so some of my dark roots showed through.

I picked out an eyebrow pencil and only filled them in slightly. I did a thin bar of eyeliner, slightly flicking it at the end. I pulled out my mascara and applied it, making a strange face. I mean everyone has a 'mascara face', right?

I put away all my makeup and put today's outfit on. I looked at my self in the mirror, and left my flannel unbuttoned. Good enough. I grabbed my keys and wallet, and made sure that I turned off everything. I saw an empty cup of noodles on the kitchen counter. Fucking Mari. Leaving her trash around. I threw it away and grabbed my black high-top converse and almost put them on.

Phone! Phone, I forgot my phone. I left my shoes by the door and jogged over to my room. I unplugged my phone and checked the battery percentage. 47%. Not bad, I thought. I'll have to charge it in the car. I stuffed it into my pocket, and went back to the front door.

I put on my shoes and locked the door on my way out. Getting into my car, I plugged my phone in and turned on the radio to a random station. I checked the time, and the clock read 8:22. I buckled up and started the car, and then made my way to my regular baby's house.
