Chapter 8: Problems With No Solutions

No POV
The three soaking, anxious teenagers stumbled in through the
door-hatch horrified to find Flora's vases shattered in a mess
around the floor. Riven who was still covered in swamp filth
stood dodging each ornament flung at him. With wet swamp
moss running down his body, Riven to look even more
nightmarish than before.
"Stella! Brandon! Musa! GET OUT OF THERE!" Nabu shrieked,
continuing to chuck vases. his aim wasn't as good as it should
be when he is spooked to death. he catapulted them at Riven
but missed almost socking Brandon in the head!
"Dude! It's just Riven!" Brandon called ducking his head to
avoid another of Nabu's bad aims. Aisha paused her flicking
and took a good scan of what the heck was standing at the
door. Nabu on the other hand doubled the throwing not
taking the risk!
"What the hell is he wearing?" Aisha inquired examining
Riven's filthy attire. on finally realizing it was truly the
magenta haired specialist, Nabu calmed in fit. "Looks like you
took on the wrong designer?" he doubled over at Riven who
finally got peace to breathe.
"Shut up! you almost whack the life out of me!" Riven barked,
picking more weeds from his uniform.
"Now what do we do about these vases?" Stella questioned
picking a scattered piece of pure porcelain. She felt seriously
bad if Flora saw these. she worked so hard on the
decorations, it's such a shame they were ruined under
misunderstandings.
"i dunno, but we should fix these before Flora finds out!"
Musa paced around thinking of a way to fix the mess.
"How?"
"First get Riven cleaned up!" Stella squeaked covering her
nose from the foul smell.
"Yeah, yeah perfume princess, i get you can't take the smell!"
Riven caviled, picking more god-knows-what from himself.
Musa suddenly realized how the grime blanketing Riven acted
like a gluey substance, that could actually help them paste
the vases! "I'm going to get a shower in the rain!" Riven
smelt himself, instantly covering his mouth from puking of the
malodorous stink.
"Stop! That garbage on you, it's like a glue!" Musa spoke up,
Riven spun around and glared at Musa for such a stupid idea,
it wasn't actually stupid but the fact that he had to stay in
the sludge was stupid.
"I'm not staying in this stuff!" he objected.
"YOU fell into the swamp, YOU scared Nabu and Aisha to throw
the vases at you and it's only right if YOU dedicate yourself
to fix it!" Brandon smirked tauntingly knowing he hit Riven
with the obvious.
"You owe me for this!" Riven growled staggering back over to
the cleared tables. Musa smiled triumphantly collecting up the
pieces of smashed porcelain and piled them up at the tables.
"It's still dark, how are we going to stick the piece together
with no light?" Stella took her place at the table wandering
when she's be able to use her shining light.
"I dunno, your magic doesn't work does it?" Brandon asked
hopefully, Stella pursed her lips and shook her head
disappointingly. The lightening outside struck the night sky
again, causing the rain to pour even more. "This is hopeless,
we can't light a fire since the sticks outside are soaking!"
the lightening outside rambled on for what seemed like ages
and the team still hadn't figured out a way to fix some light
onto the ship. Stella glanced out the window to the gloomy
sky, watching the strong light crash along the skyline. She
tried to think of a solution but the rambling outside was
killing her.
"SHUT UP, WILL YA!?" she barked at the window, suddenly a
small spark lit up from the tree outside, but died down with
the heavy rain. "what was that?"
"what was what?" Brandon inquired appearing beside her as
she peered through the window.
"The tree! it caught on fire!" Stella mused happily pointing at
the softly burnt twigs.
"I heard lightening is electricity, it can set things on fire!"
Aisha explained her knowledge she found from the Andros
storms.
"It's attracted to Metal!" Nabu added thoughtfully. "but, it
can also kill you if it hits you!"
"I found this, if it's any help?" Musa probed holding up the
long metal stick broom she dug from the supply closet.
"Who's gonna go hold it?" Brandon asked spinning the broom
playfully with his hand.
"Is there anything that's immune to lightening?" Stella cross-
question.
"Besides rubber, no," Aisha bit her lips trying to think if
there was anything else. "not that i know of,"
"I have rubber slippers!" Stella grinned digging out her old
slippers from the closet.
"Who's brave enough to get out there?" Nabu smirked, his
eyes fixed on the violet-eyes specialist. Musa, Aisha, Stella
and Brandon followed.
"WHAT?!" Riven demanded crossing his arm over his chest,
"you ain't making this guy get out there!"
"Oh really?" Brandon grinned smugly dropping out his
emergency unbreakable wire-rope. "GRAB HIM!"
"Now what?" Tecna asked feeling a bit guilty for shutting the
lights down.
"Well Tecna, we're in the darkness with only the fractal to
shine a bit of light...WHAT THE HECK DO YOU PROPOSE WE
DO?!" Timmy palmed himself in rage of what the strawberry
haired fairy had done.
"geez, calm your battery! I didn't do it on purpose!" Tecna
muttered defending herself.
"Of course not!" He grinned sarcastically, bashing the keys of
the black-screen PDA.
"We could try to carry the fractal back to the ship?"
"how? This thing could burn you from a 3 centimetre
distance! It's pure electricity!" Timmy sighed knowing it's
hopeless. he imagined what his friends would be doing right
now.
