A new day was ahead of Kay yet she did the same thing that she did yesterday, skipped lunch and went to the roof.
Kay didn't really expect Mingyu to be there again. She just thought it was a one time thing, but again she was wrong.
This time when Kay opened the roof door her eyes met Mingyu sitting down facing the door. Kay noticed that this time he had a lunch box with him.
"Hey Mingyu." Kay said and she made her way over to Mingyu to sit next to him.
Mingyu didn't say anything. Instead he placed a sandwich on her lap.
Kay looked down at the sandwich and then back up at Mingyu.
"Mingyu, you didn't have to bring me this." Kay said while attempting to give the sandwith back to him but he just pushed her hand toward her.
"I know I didn't have to but I wanted to." Mingyu said, smiling at Kay showing off his fangs.
Her heart warmed at the sight of his smile.
Kay looked down at the sandwith in her hands and took a bite from it. He mouth instantly melted into the sandwich.
"Mingyu this is amazing!" Kay said happily taking more bites from the sandwich.
"Thank you. I made it myself." Mingyu smiled again.
Silence fell between Kay & Mingyu but it was a comfortable silence. They both just sat eating and calmed at the cooling wind.
"Do you believe in love at first sight?" Mingyu asked catching Kay off gaurd.
Kay thought about it for a second. Did she? She spent her childhood watching fairytales of people falling in love at first sight but did she actually believe that it was true? Was it all hollywood glamour?
"I don't know." Kay spoke. "What about you?"
"Oh I do, very much." Mingyu looked up at the sky as he spoke. Kay noticed how the sun kissed his skin in the most beautiful way.
"I believe that you don't need to necessarily know someone to fall for them. I believe that just by looking into someones eyes and feeling the butterflies in your stomach and literally feeling your heart leap in your chest is enough to know that you love someone." Mingyu said looking back at Kay who stared at him in awe.
"That was...that was beautiful." Kay spoke softly.
Mingyu looked down at his lap and played with his fingers. It was obvious to anyone that he wanted to say something but he was afraid to. Afraid of the reaction maybe?
"Kay?" Mingyu asked.
Kay looked at Mingyu as if telling him to continue with just her eyes.
"I felt that way with you."
