So it's been a few days since the Chekov incident and the talk with Kylie. Things down in medbay were pretty boring. I got to do some stitches, some paperwork, and some organizing medical supplies. So fun. Honestly I would have rather been stuck in the lift all day. Kirk sent Chekov down here to give Dr McCoy papers a few more times.

I honestly don't know why he can't just let me do that since that is part of my job. Luckily we didn't trip over each other. In fact I really wasn't near him when he came down. I was usually doing the files or putting supplies away in the cabinets. One of the nurses said that he would look around for me and would look really kinda sad when he didn't see me. Is that a good thing? Maybe. I dunno.

I was helping Dr McCoy clean a gash on some redshirt's arm when we heard the turbo lift's doors open and Chekov walked in. I looked up and saw him. He had more papers, as usual. You know. I really wonder what those papers are for. I hadn't even noticed i was staring at him 'til Dr McCoy cleared his throat and said thank you to Chekov.

"No problem, sir. Is it ok if I talk to Hannah in private?" Wait what. Could I be in trouble or something? Well if I was in trouble I think it would be Dr McCoy or someone higher up yelling at me. I don't know.

"Sure. Go ahead. Just don't keep her too long." Dr McCoy shooed me off with Chekov. We walked around a corner and he stopped.

"What is it you needed to talk to me about? I'm not in trouble or anything, am I?" I stood there, semi-fidgeting.

"No. No you're not in trouble. I just wanted to..." He blushed and looked at the floor and mumbled something in Russian. "I just wanted to know if you would... if you would have dinner with me sometime?" He still hadn't looked up from the floor and he was about as red as a tomato from blushing. I was almost speechless. No one had ever asked me out before. No one wanted to go out with the "nerd".

"Y-yes. I would love to go out to dinner with you." He immediately looked up from the floor and smiled at me.

"Good. I'll um... I'll come back down here later and tell you when OK?" He seemed so happy now.

"Alright. That's fine. I get off at 5:30."

"I get off at 5:00." I'll come down here and pick you up, ok?"

"Ok."

He gave me another big smile and went back to the turbo lift and to the bridge. Did he really just ask me out. And I said yes. Wait 'til I tell Kylie about this.
