The pack attack(1st book in the Airwolves series)

Chapter 2

I know that this chapter isn't very interesting but I'm still introducing some of the characters.

3 years later...

There was a loud knock on the door and i immediately knew that it was Roxane. She was always on time to go to school because her mum would kill her if she got suspended again. Last time it was because she pranked the principal and her english teacher on Halloween. Anyway, i was still finishing my cereal and had my cozy paw-printed PJ's on. I wanted to see her reaction so i opened the door to let her in since i needed at least another 5 mins to get ready.

"Fina-" is what i heard Roxane say as she realized that i wasn't ready to go. Her face paled and i could have sworn that even her beautiful light brown hair had turned a shade lighter. Roxane's hazel eyes showed dangerous anger but after a few second they returned to their calm and natural state.

She came inside and sat on the couch, then told me to get ready. I decided to obey because it was the first day of being a Year 10 so i had to make a good impression. I chose to wear a cute red shirt and a black skinny jean. On Top of that, i wore a black leather jacket and then finally put on my tattered trainers. I brushed my teeth and then inspected my reflection in the mirror. My blonde hair was a bit messy but i could deal with that later. My brown eyes were staring back at me and my soul was laughing inside them. Brown wasn't usually the eye colour you would expect on a blonde but i didnt care.

I ran down the stairs and i saw Roxane stroking Pawface on the floor. She Also loved cats which was 1 of the many reasons she was my best friend. She saw me standing in the doorway and said,
"Its about time Rosebelle, i thought you were never going to come!"
"Roxane! You know that its either Rose or Belle. Not both!"
"I know," she replied smugly." Can we go now?"

So we left and walked the few blocks to Pinprick High, our school. I know, its a stupid name but no one is allowed to change it. We tried. Roxane and i recognized most of last years student but there were at least 100 new students. All of a sudden, Roxane had started shouting at someone who had their back turned and was talking to some new kid. I knew who the figure was right before they turned. Immy. Another one of my best friends. I was so happy to see her that i ran and hugged her so hard she must have been having trouble breathing. I let go and her face lit up like a light bulb. Her nearly black eyes shone with an intensity that could have replaced the sun. A long black braid flowed behind her back and i saw that it was messy because of me. I told her but she didn't care. Everyone was happy to see each other again.

The bell rang and Roxane rushed off, not wanting to be late. I saw another one of my friends on the opposite side of the road, and I wanted to say hi before class. I started to run across the road and then it dawned on me. I hadn't looked to see if there were any cars coming. I heard a loud "honk" and looked to the left. I really shouldn't have done that. A beige van was coming straight towards me and i could see that the student who was driving couldn't stop. The last thing i remembered was flying up into the air. Then everything went dark.
