A/N: Wow ok this is a long chapter. Anyway, I'm going to do a sketch soon of (Y/C) appearance soon but don't expect it to be like Picasso or something. It's just a visual. (Idk, I'm probably going to make up a character for reference)
*few days have passed*
During my time in the monitor room, I haven't done much. I mostly sketch pictures of the people on the island or I would watch the monitors and see what was going on without me. I was still waiting, waiting untill the first killing would happen.
I wasn't sure if I wanted it to happen quickly or not because I don't want to be this fake mastermind forever but if a killing didn't happen, then all my classmates would stay alive. That peace didn't last long though as I heard Monokuma yell at me those words I have been dreading to hear...
"Oh (Y/N), I am happy to inform you that you will be appearing sooon! The killing is to start soon!"
My heart sank, I never thought my classmates would actually go through with this. I wished they held onto their hope, as I had already lost mine.
"So this is really happening huh?" I mumbled under my breath
"Puhuhu! The despair on your face is perfect! Without further adoo, let this despair begin!" He yet again disappeared and the intercoms rung.
"I have a veeeery special surprise waiting for you all! Come to the ticking time bomb! Puhuhuhu... See you soooooon." Monokuma came back to the office. He spoke his last like so, creepily.
"Sooooo, you got your lines down (Y/N)?"
"Sadly, yes..." I said disapprovingly
"Oh my, I've been waiting for this moment!
LET THE SHOW BEGIN!"
Hajimes POV
"I wonder what it is this time." I said. I decided to hang out with Chiaki today, but it seems Monokumas announcement had interrupted our conversation. As they were walking to the park, I was thinking of what Monokumas surprise is. A thought that popped up into my mind was if he was bringing (Y/N) back. We haven't seen her since the day everything went to shit so people were worried. Chiaki seemed to notice this was what I was thinking and she reassured me.
"I'm sure (Y/N) is safe wherever she is... I think."
"Why are you doubtful?"
"Well, she was placed under care of Monokuma soo."
I... Guess she has a point.
We all arrived at the park and started thinking of possibilities of what Monokumas 'surprise' may be.
"I hope it's not like those dumb Usami straps." Hiyoko stated.
"Uwawa?! But I worked weally hard on those!" Monomi then butted in.
"Well, I have a more confident answer." Byakuya said sternly
"This so called surprise is most likely a motive!" He said confidently
"A motive, and for what exactly?" Nagito said
"Have you been paying attention at all on this island? It's a motive for us to kill" Byakuya stated.
"I-I guess it's a possibility" Nagito said embarrassed.
I decided it was time to speak up.
"Hey, what if (Y/N) is coming back?"
"That seems logical" Mahiru said
"Y-y-yea, a-a sp-sprain shouldn't l-last that l-l-long" Mikan stated.
"Can you just shut up you Bitchface?" Hiyoko said annoyed.
"Upupupu, nice try, but that is sadly not it..."
Tha-that voice...
It's (Y/N)!
But wait...
Somethings not right...
(Y/N)'s POV
They all sound frightened, as if they were told just out of the blue their mother or father died. Heh, like I wanted to do this.
"Wa-wait that sounded like (Y/N)!" Nagito exclaimed
"But, why is she talking like Monokuma." Teruteru said.
"Oh, are you THAT naïve? Do I really have to explain this to you? It's blatantly obvious." And with that, Monokuma did his special thing to make me jump out of no where into the middle of the students.
They all stared as my clothing had changed from what it originally was, into monochrome patterns and my odd facial features and hair.
"Tadaaaa, oh man that gets your adrenaline pumping!" I said as I did a small stretch.
The students just stared in awe and horror as I walked around one by one up to them saying really just nonsense. When I got to Nagito and Hajime, I had to make it more interesting since they were the ones I hung out with before the whole 'killing students' thing.
"Hajime, darling, and to think you were worried about me before you got to the park! Ahahahah! Well, I guess the tables have turned."
"Why... WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS." He shouted at me with tears in his eyes. I couldn't bear the sight so I quickly looked away so I wouldn't tear up as well.
"Puhuhu, it's quite simple really." I look back at him, he saw still crying but I had to pull through. One thing Monokuma gave me was some special Contact that made my eye red like his, and I could make it glow if I wanted. I activated the contact.
"Despair... Despair is all I wish to see from you"
I backed off and started to trot towards Nagito, his skin was pale, as pale as it was when Monokuma mentioned murder in front of him.
"Aaaaaand last but not least we have Nagito. And judging what I saw, you were probably the person who cared the most about me, no? How does it feel? To have the person you cared about turn out to be the mastermind?" I let out a soft giggle. Nagito said nothing and just stared.
"This reminds me of when Monokuma had mentioned if I was murdered. You face was so pale! You looked like a marshmallow!"
Nagito was starting to tear up as well. This was something I couldn't watch, so I turned around quickly about to make my leave.
"That's my surprise! Do you guys like it? Ohhh, who cares! Anyway there was something else I wanted to tell you guys." The students all looked towards me.
I giggled a little and said in a serious tone.
"The killing has almost completed its first staaaaaaage!~"
"Todaloo! Ahahaha!!!" And with Monokumas 'shortcuts' I was back in the office. This was awful... Even if they find out I'm not the real mastermind, they may not forgive me for this.
I had little hope from all this. I collapsed on the chair in front of the monitors. I kind of wanted to see the reaction they all had to that little show, but at the same time, I don't want to see what they think, but I watched anyway.
"H-how is that possible? Wasn't she injured?" Nidai frantically said.
"It's quite obvious, Monokuma lied to us."
"But, if she was the mastermind, why would she show up at first as a normal student?" Chiaki said.
Nagito said weakly "It's just as she said, by making us believe (Y/N) was our friend, and then having her turn out to be the mastermind, it brings despair to us." He looked completely devastated, he was the worst out of all of them, aside from Hajime as well.
Kazuichi said"This is so fucked up"
"Why are we in this situation? What did we ever do?" Teruteru exclaimed.
Oh trust me, I'm in a worst situation than you. This whole thing is a nightmare. I turned of the monitor and that's when Monokuma came back
"Wow (Y/N)! That was great, they really believe you are the mastermind."
"You know I don't like this."
"Oh I know." He was about to leave but I called him out.
"Hey, Monokuma. About the class trial... How is that going to work?"
"Wadaya mean?" He asked confused.
"Well in your diagram you showed us about the trials, you sat there as well. Will it be you or me who watches the trial?"
"Oh, it's going to be you of course. Don't worry I'll tell you how the murders play out and all the details if ya miss em!"
Oh, great now I have to watch all my classmates suffer during the trials.
It wasn't untill a day later the first murder occurred, and how it happened was more devastating...
