Across the Ocean

1 0 1

As I look out onto the ocean, I think of myself.

I think of who I am, what I stand for. Will I find what I'm looking for across the ocean?

I am a headstrong idiot who never knows what to do.

I am a lovesick fool who can't interact properly with other people.

I stand for knowledge, for further exploration into the thing I stare at now.

I stand for equality that will never be gained as long as people have differences.

Will I find the true love that I've been begging for?

Will I find the everlasting friendship I've been longing for?

Will I find what truly make me happy?

As I see the waves crash I wish I could be like you.

Free and Majestic.

Beautiful and Strong.

Vast and Deep.

All of which I'll never be.
