Microscope-Man

3 0 1

Give me but 30 seconds,
Only half a minute, I swear,
And I will likely find a new truth,
That will be difficult to bear.

I am always convinced that I,
Peering through the microscope,
Will discover truths in everything,
A vast network of life, a kaleidoscope.

But give me an extra 3 moments,
Just a little bit of added time,
And I will crush my truths of life
Without mercy, falling after my climb.

It's an ever-continuing fact of the dance,
Finding secrets in every single thing.
There is nothing that has walls against me,
But there's no telling what falsities it may bring.

When I look through everything on Earth,
In space, in time, in all my thought,
It leads to absolutely nothing at all,
Never finding what it is I always sought.

I convince myself I have found it,
The secret everyone else has missed.
Then I realize it can't be, it can't be at all,
I betray myself, a being Judas-thoughts have kissed
