INTRODUCTION

I live in a world where every one has a soul mate. Their other half. Their true love.

Every one has a birth mark on the edge of their hands, opposite of the thumb, both exactly the same. They play a huge role in everybody life. These marks help you find the person that you'll be with for the rest of you life.

Although the birth marks that you have are the same on both of your hands, you don't share the same ones with some one else. Everyone has a different birth mark. Some can have letters, flowers, or just plain blotches or splatters; but then again I think all of them start off like that. It's not until you connect your hand, touching palm to palm with your true love that you can make a full picture. Not only that but that's also how you find out if that person and you really belong together. Another thing is that no-one find their other half until your about 18 or older. Weird, isn't it?

The picture that you make is very special. It holds both of your past, present, and future; so it's very careful not to become a 'wanter'. A 'wanter' is someone who when in a relationship find out that the one they could sworn was the one ends up not being their soulmate, but because they love them so much they try to make the relationship work anyways. It's sometimes sad to see this happen especially because their relationships doesn't last nearly as long as true soulmates relationships do.

That's how it works around here. Everyone had someone they belong to and birthmarks that symbolize it. Atleast that's how it was before I came.
