I Need Your Help...

chapter 2

Chloe's pov:

       I wake up with my cat starlight curled around on my neck. Without waking her I pick her up and put her on my pillow and start getting ready for school. Once I get downstairs I eat oatmeal and yell for the twins. They come racing down the stairs and make breakfast and then rush out the door with their stuff. Weird. They never are in that much of a hurry. I'll question them later.

        Once I'm at school, I rush through the crowd to my locker and then hurry to math. Once more I sit at the window and doodle. Once the class is all settled in, no one sitting by me as usual, the teacher announces the new student. Which I wasn't listening to who they were or what gender or anything about them so I just pay attention to what the teacher says after the person takes a seat which happens to be by me, cause it's the only seat left. Once the teacher realizes no one's listening he announces a project. This catches everyone's attention. "You and your table partner will have to come up with a model of something keeping track of the data and it has to be sturdy enough to sit five packs of note cards. Have fun!" And with that said I turn to my partner and see it's a guy and he has brown hair, blue eyes just like Jake and me my eyes widen when I hear him say "hi, clover" "j-jake!?" Once he hears that he smirks and says"miss me?" I just cry and leave the room. Which the whole room gasps cause I never cry and never leave the room during class, but I had to. 

Jakes pov:

        Once I get announced I look around the room and see one seat open. Next to her. I've missed her so much. She was my first friend, my first crush, my best friend, and my angel. I was her hero, I protected her. That was 6 years ago though, we were on 3rd grade then. Once the teachers done, I sit by her and the other girls glare at her oh god what happened while I was gone? I hope she's alright he teacher announces a project but I don't listen to him hoping she does. Once he's done talking she turns toward me. she's still beautiful, brown hair, blue eyes. Like me. Her eyes widen when she hears me say "hi, clover" "j-jake!?" She says dumbfounded I just smirk and say "miss me?" She just starts crying and ruins out of the room. Everyone gasps at her no one sees her cry or leave the room early?

      I get up and run after her which makes the class gasp again. I call for her and she stops and turns to me "I'm sorry, I just couldn't believe that it was you. I've missed you so much" she says crying into my shirt what happened to her? She was never this way. She had friends, she was strong, she was a rebel. She didn't look weak when I looked into her eyes before now. I have to be her hero again I lift her chin and say "what happened while I was gone?" I see that look in her eye that tells me lots of pain happened but I frown at what she says "not much." "Are you alright?" "I'm..." She taps her chin trying to find a way to put it "...fine" I just sigh and wonder why don't she tell me? What happened? Who did this to her? Someone's gonna pay for this.
