"I like you..." I said to her one evening while we were just hanging out at my place, playing video games like what we usually do in these past few months. I waited for her answer and as usual, she gave me that smile.
"I like you too.." she stared at me and I did too and slowly I cut the distance between us, approaching those lips that I badly wanted to kiss even off cam. I closed my eyes and waited for that warm sensation... slowly... slowly... slow-
"So what do you need? You want me to.. set you up to someone or?" She suddenly said and I opened my eyes and just stared at her with my mouth hanging wide open, looking at her in disbelief
"What? That's why you're being sweet these past few months right?" she said then fixed her eyes on the screen again and continued playing
"What are you saying?" I sat sideways to face her "I'm telling you that I like you..god I think I already love y-" she paused the game again and put the controller down "I'm going home" she said without even looking at me as she stood up from her seat, I grabbed her hand to stop her from leaving. "Nadine, listen to me... please" she took her hand away from my hold
"Let's just talk tomorrow" and that she left without me doing anything to stop her further.
And that night, I thought.. what if? What if i didn't do the things I did before? Will she answer me the same way she did just now?
