Adventures of an Indigo Child

CHAPTER 1

On a cold Friday night in the late winter of December. A heavy loud wind comes screaming in through Alvin's window upstairs; blowing against the calendar that hung on the wall in his room. The calendar reads 'December 21, 2012'. Alvin's room is painted blue; on his wall he has a clock, a calendar, an art piece of William Shakespeare that he got as one of his birthday presents last year for his 16th birthday, and a picture frame with his family. The floor has a sapphire thick carpet which doesn't make the ground so cold in this winter time when he's walking without house slippers.

'Ringing, ringing, ringing' his alarm goes off for 9:10 and Alvin wakes from the short nap he had taken. Removing the red sheet that had covered him, he goes into the bathroom to brush his teeth and like always, stops to stare in the mirror at his abs that he spent 2 months working on. The dimmer switch light in the bathroom was turned down to its minimum and you could see his dark eyes glistening as he stares at himself.

Doorbell: 'ping'

Mrs. Forester: Alvin! Your friend is here for movie night.

Alvin: You can send him right up mom!

"Goodnight Mrs. Forester" Jimmy greets Alvin's mom at the door. "You are looking radiant as usual".

As her cherry lips ascend into a bright smile on her dark complexion face, she replies "Well goodnight to you too young men. Come on in"

The door opens wider and Jimmy and Theodore enter the house and go upstairs.

Jimmy Jones has been friends with Alvin since kindergarten. Jimmy lives on the block before you reach Alvin's house. He's 17, the same age as Alvin. A bit taller though, a lighter complexion, blonde hair and wears glasses. He's a comic book fan and loves watching supernatural movies like Alvin. However, he's not into romance that much as he is. He lives with his mom and dad and 2 younger brothers. They are all a Christian family. Alvin knows there's a God and shows respect to that fact but he doesn't go to church that much, he and his mother would rather stay home and read the Bible and pray together. Jimmy and Alvin has a lot in common, apart from Alvin being black and an only child, they share a lot of common grounds and get a long quite well. Theodore is one of Jimmy's younger brothers, not really a part of the gang he is just here tonight to watch movies with his brother.

When Jimmy and his brother got upstairs Alvin had everything set up and ready. "Take your seats gentlemen" commanded Alvin in a deep dramatic voice. "What movie are we watching first?" asked Jimmy "The Monster in the Movie" said Alvin in a scary tone. "Better empty your bladders lads because this will be a nerve racking one." Jimmy turns the room light off and they all sat on the bed and started the movie.

The 10 inch flat screen TV begins playing the movie that had been inserted in the DVD player next to it. Two huge red eyes appear as the three boys got closer to each other involuntarily; then a creepy voice in the movie says "knock knock". 2 seconds after Alvin's room door knocks twice. "Gasp! What was that? Alvin what was that?" asked Jimmy terrified. "Jimmy I'm scared" said Theodor Alvin terrifyingly remains silent

"Boys!" shouted Mrs. Forester at the door. "I brought some popcorn for your movie night" Alvin released a heavy sigh then opened the door to his mom. "Mom, don't ever scare us like that again" "What did I do?" she responded curiously
