(Tyler's P.O.V)

Jealousy passed through my veins as I saw Josh and (Y/N) whispering to each other.

"C'mon (Y/N)! I'm beating you! You aren't even trying!" I said to her.

'Why am I jealous though?' I thought to myself. I stopped swinging so I could focus my thoughts.

'Do I like her?' I questioned myself.

I was brought out of my thoughts by (Y/N) swinging higher than me so I shook my head and started swinging.

*Later That Day*

"So. Tell me what's wrong." Josh said to me. Tyler went home, as it was dinner time but my parents didn't mind if I talked to Josh, as we already ate.

"I... I think I like Tyler."

"What?"

"I like Tyler. Not as a friend, though. But I can't. I'm gonna ruin our friendship. Plus, I have no chance. He probably likes somebody else." I said, tears threatening to pour from my eyes.

"Come here, (Y/N)." He said holding out his arms to give me a hug.

I reached over and hugged him, crying into his shoulder.

"Thanks Josh." I hiccuped.

"It's ok (Y/N). I'll talk to Tyler and ask him if he likes anybody." He mumbled, rubbing my back.

"You're such a great friend." I mumbled into his shoulder.

"Thanks." Josh smiled at me, "Well as much as I would like to stay to comfort you, I have to go."

"It's ok." I said, pulling back and wiping the tears from my eyes, "Thank you so much, Josh."

(Josh's P.O.V)

It was only six, so I decided to walk over to Tyler's and ask him about it really quick.

I knocked on the door, waiting for a response.

"Oh hi, Josh!" his mom greeted me, "Ty's up in his room."

I mumbled a quick "Thanks" before running up the stairs to Tyler's room.

I opened the door, and what I saw hurt me, just as much as (Y/N) crying.

Tyler on his bed crying. Two people in one day. Why?

"Ty?" I said, cautiously walking to the side of his bed, getting on my knees so I could look him in the eyes.

"W-what?" He mumbled into his pillow.

"What's wrong?"

"I like (Y/N), that's what. I like her and I can't. I can't ruin this friendship. I know she doesn't feel the same way. She never will. It's one way feelings."

"Ty. I have good news for you."

"What?"

"I was literally just talking to (Y/N). She thought the same thing. But, she also thinks you like somebody else." I smiled at him, hoping this would cheer him up.

"Really?" He said, a smile tugging at his lips as he sat up.

"Yeah. Look at my shoulder. Those tear stains are from (Y/N)."

"I'm gonna ask her out."

"Do it. But, you should think of a creative way."

"I've been wanting to write a song..." He shrugged, "I'm not that good at singing though."

"I'm sure you are." I reassured him, "I'll help you write a song, c'mon."

We stood up and walked over to the piano. It was only Saturday, so I texted my mom to tell her I was staying over at Tyler's.

Our parents didn't care at this point, as we all had sleepovers all the time.

"So..." Tyler said, "What about this?"

He played a couple notes.

A couple hours later, those couple notes turned into a whole song.

"Ty." I yawned, extremely tired.

"Yes?"

"We just wrote a great song."

"We make a great team!" He exclaimed.

"Yeah we do!"

He had the lyrics written and the notes down.

"Play it real quick." I said to him.

"Ok." Tyler nodded.

"You say things with your mouth
Cobwebs and flies come out
I hear a second voice behind your tongue somehow
Luckily I can read your mind
Flies and cobwebs unwind
They will not take you down
They will not cast you out, out.

Dear friend, here we are again pretending
To understand how you think your world is ending
Sending signals and red flags in waves
It's hard to tell the difference between blood and water these days
I'll pray that one day you see
The only difference between life and dying
Is one is trying, that's all we're going to do
So try to love me and I'll try to save you.

Won't you stay alive
I'll take you on a ride
I will make you believe you are lovely.

Won't you stay alive
I'll take you on a ride
I will make you believe you are lovely.

Your redemption won't grow stale
We are now just setting sail
On the seas of what we fear
Treason now is growing near to me

I'm coming clean
God, hit me straight on.
God, hit me straight on.

Won't you stay alive
I'll take you on a ride
I will make you believe you are lovely.

Won't you stay alive
I'll take you on a ride
I will make you believe you are lovely.

You say things with your mouth,
Cobwebs and flies come out.
I hear a second voice behind your tongue somehow
Luckily, I can read your mind

Don't be gone
Don't be gone
Don't be gone
Don't be gone
Don't be gone

You say things with your mouth,
Cobwebs and flies come out.
You say things with your mouth,
Cobwebs and flies come out.
You say things with your mouth,
Cobwebs and flies come out.
You say things with your mouth,
Cobwebs and flies come out.
You say things with your mouth,
Cobwebs and flies come out.
You say things with your mouth,
Cobwebs and flies come out."

"Bro. That was sick as frick."

"I'm not good at singing, this isn't going to work."

"I swear to God, I'm gonna slap you. You are great singing, Ty."

"Whatever." Tyler mumbled, rolling his eyes.

"Let's go to bed, I'm so tired."

"Agreed."
