There once was a girl,
who had everything in the world.
So they took it all away,
and now she’s left with none.
They took away her smile,
and exchanged it with hurtful words.
They took away her joy,
and gave her the world’s cruelest joke.
Why would they do this?
We do not know.
There was no point in anything.
No point at all.
She tried to scream,
but instead made the slightest peep.
She tried to run,
but instead could barely crawl.
The pain was too much.
Their voices rang.
But still, she faced it.
Day after day.
There once was a boy
who was in love with that same girl.
He locked it up though,
and hid behind the doors.
He never spoke up.
Never told a single soul.
He didn’t even tell the girl,
who needed it the most.
She blew out her own light,
when the flame grew thin.
Unknowing of her lover,
and how happy she could’ve been.
If only he had courage.
If only he had spoke.
If only he had told her,
that he had loved her so.
He never moved on.
Feeling like her life was in his hands.
If only he had spoken up.
If only he had one more chance.
If only he had told her,
those three simple words.
