Cas' POV

" I need your help." I nod staring at the girl. She was a mystery, I couldn't read her. " I'm can't unward you. " I lie. My time on earth if it has taught me anything , it is that people lie.

" Can't or won't?" She snaps. " Can't." She sighs leaning her head against the seat. She sits there closing her eyes for a minute before they open widely. She has an idea. " You can research faster than anyone. Look for house fires in 2008 that included a six month old infant. Casualties would include the mother." I nod.

Confused as to what this has to do with anything, I oblige anyhow. There was 357,673 house fires in the United States in 2008. The house fires that included only one female casualty was 3,689. Those that included a baby was 435. Those in which the baby just turned six months was 7.

I snap back to Piper who was now in a crummy motel. " Seven right?" She asks before I have the chance to get a word out. I nod. " Goddammit." She whispers shaking her head. " Is there anyone near here?" I nod. " Amelia Todd. She lives at the orphanage down on brookstone." She nods grabbing her coat.

" You coming?" She questions from the door. " oh, right yes." We arrive at the 'group home' and get out. She grabs my arm tightly as we approach the front doors. " Piper, what are you doing." She fakes a smile. " Just shut up and go with it." We go to the front counter.

" Hello, are you here to adopt?" Her eyes are hopeful. " Yes actually, I'm Alex and this is my husband Jim." I look at her. " That's great do you have anyone in mind? I can send some kids down for meetings." She says cheerfully. " There was a little girl I saw the other day, I think her name was Amelia?" Her smile falters.

" Are you sure you want to see her? I mean there are plenty of other children." She urges. " No, we would like to see her if that's alright ma'am." I say, she rolls her eyes clearly annoyed and get up. " Amelia! Get down here! Now!" The once jolly women was bitter. " I'm coming! " A girl with black hair who couldn't have been older that 8 rushed down the steps.

" Do you mind if we take her to the park? Get to know her?" The women shrugs as Piper leads the girl out the door. " I'm Piper, this is Cas." She said introducing us to her. " I'm Amy." She smiles.

" So Amy, you wanna hear something cool?" Piper asks sitting on a bench. The young girl nods. " See Cassie and I are kinda like superheroes. We help people and kill the bad guys. I've heard you might be a superhero too." She smiles. " Nobody believes me!" She pouts. " We believe you. So what kind of superpowers do you have?" I ask.

" I can move stuff with my brain. It's really cool! Wanna see?" We both nod. The coffee cup that was laying beside the trash can in front of us moved. It sat up straight, then levitated and plopped itself in the trash can. " That's so cool! So me and my superhero friend wanna know if you'd want to join our superhero mission?" She shakes her head up and down.

Piper picks the laughing girl up and sticks her on her shoulders, walking to her car. We just kidnapped a little girl. Yet Piper didn't seem to care.

Charlie's POV

I went over the security footage from both the hospital and school, a man visited both but the only thing I could make out was a small dragon tattoo on his wrist. I was exhausted, Amy was already asleep in my bed and Cassie was watching tv. I grab my jacket, I need coffee.

" Hey Cas I'm gonna run to the gas station. You want anything?" He sits up from beside the sleeping girl. " No too many atoms." He scrunches up his nose.
