27th June.

Heyoo diary..
So today I got up the yard and star was on the floor in the field, and he was doing weird things and I was scared..

I called mum and she said I needed to get him up and walk him because he could've twisted his gut if he was thrashing around on the floor

I called mum and she said I needed to get him up and walk him because he could've twisted his gut if he was thrashing around on the floor.

I got him up and walking but he was very unhappy and kept laying on the floor and pushing my chest almost as if he was saying 'make the pain stop mum'

When my mum got to the stables she called the vet and a lovely vet came to see him, she gave him a pain killer to relax his muscles, she carried out a few examinations and told us to keep an eye on him and take him up to the clinic if he changed at all - after an hour.

He got worse and had to be rushed in. We had to try and load a wobbly horse onto the lorry and he fell of the ramp tried to lay down. That journey in the back with him was the worst 20 minutes I've ever endured, my beautiful horse was in so much pain :(

When we arrived David, the main vet and also the surgeon of the clinic was there. He did another examination and told us it was surgery or having him put to sleep.

He went into surgery and was in surgery for 2 and a half hours.

We got a phone call at 23:48 to tell us the surgery had gone well.

But the next 72 hours would be the most critical :(
