Chapter 2: Its Always a Rocky Beginning

Amanda POV
"You guys" Kaitlyn said, running towards us " I just heard Taylor in the bathroom saying that, her and Adam are having trouble ". "What does that have to do with us, Kaitlyn?" Emily said. "He is going to be single soon, anyways" Kaitlyn said. My phone started ringing, it was Brad. I haven't talked to him since that night dad left. I got up and went to talk privately,

"Hey baby" I said. "Hey, what happened? " Brad said. "I don't know, I was busy with school and stuff" I said covering the fact that I forgot about him. "Babe, I really want this relationship to work, I've been waiting for call " He said. I heard, from the sound of his voice showed how frustrated he was. " I know, I have been busy, please understand that" I said pleading for sympathy. "Yo, I don't want to be forgotten" He said.

After arguing back and forth, me and Brad agreed to stay friends for now. "Hey, what's going on?" I turned and saw that it was Adam. "Nothing, what's up?" I said. He sat next to me and asked "Do you want to go for a quick ride with me?" I was shocked, a ride alone with Adam? I don't think that's a good idea, but then again he's pretty cute. "Uh-um sure. .whatever." We got up and went to his car.

Taylor POV
I went to the bathroom with my best friend Meagan so I can tell her what's going on. "Meagan, something is wrong with me and Adam," I said worried. "What's going on with you two "Meagan said . "Its like he's not into me anymore, I'm worried he found another girl " I said

Suddenly Kaitlyn walked out. Shit, what if she heard what I said? I don't want people thinking me and Adam broke up. If they do, I'll kill Kaitlyn, but I don't want to cause I actually like her. "Hey Kaitlyn, how much did you hear" I said. "Everything, duh" Kaitlyn said. You see why I like her, she's feisty and doesn't take bullcrap from anyone .

"Don't tell anyone, ok." I said. "No problem." Kaitlyn said. I walked out to get lunch. After I got my lunch I went to look for Adam but could find him. "Hey sexy." I turned around and saw Richard, Adams best friend and, my ex, I rolled my eyes "what the fuck is wrong with you Richard" I said annoyed. "Have you seen Adam?" He asked. "What?" Adam is always with Richard. "No I haven't actually, I'm looking for him too."

"Um guys I don't see his car " Kaitlyn said sounding concerned. "Shit, something is wrong guys " Richard said. I became aggravated, where can Adam be?

Amanda POV
"Where are we going?" I said. We've been driving for a good 10 minutes and I'm getting curious. "You'll see ok, be calm" Adam said smiling. His smile just make me weak.

We ended up at some yogurt place "this is my favorite place to come to when I need to escape" he said , he looked into my eyes and said "you're the only person that I've shown this to" he said. "Why me though?" I asked. "You seem like someone I can trust."Adam said smiling. "What about Taylor? Fogot about her buddy" I said . " I don't know...I....Ugh.....I don't know how to explain.... feel like our spark is gone." Adam said." Maybe, it wasn't meant to be" I said. We went inside and eventually talked for 1 hour

My phone started ringing "hello" I said. "Amanda where are you, I'm at the school and they told me you're not there." I realized it was my mom. "Sorry mom, I left with one of my friends to grab some yogurt" ."Well I can't stay any longer , tell them to drop you home ok" She said. " Ok, no problem"I said.

" Did I keep too long" Adam said smiling. I just can't get over his smile and those beautiful blue eyes. "Did I?" Adam said, knocking me out of that trance I was in. "Oh,sorry just. ..thinking, but yeah, my mom is looking for me" I said. "No problem, I'll take you home." Adam said.

When I arrived home, I saw my mom with a letter, and her hands on her head. "What's going on mom?" I said walking, I noticed she was crying. "Your dad wants a divorce. "She said
