Let me tell you a story
Of a young girl and boy
Where everything in it's glory
Was just like a toy. You'd be excited once it's yours
But soon enough lose interest
And move on to the next
Probably found on Pinterest. For as long as I can recall
Life was always the same
Never too long on a call
Or fuss over fame. But this all changed
When the little young girl
Wished for a life
With a twist or a swirl. She'd read books
Staying up all night
Filling her mind
With nothing but fright.Fright of nothing more
Fright of nothing less
Fright of nothing more
Than a friendly guess. She fed her mind
Day and night
Never stopping
To take a bite.Cause of the books
All books she read
Her mind was filled
With nothing but dread.Dread of falling
Falling too hard
Or just falling
Way too fast. She locked her heart
In a very strong safe
And hid it somewhere
She thought was safe. But one starry night
With the moon shinning bright
A young boy wondered
Not far into the night. He loved adventure
He loved drama
And every bad thing
To him was karma. As he heard the crickets
And bugs below
The gentle wind
Softly did blow.As he heard the birds
And owls of the night
Adrenaline poured
Filling him with might. The sound of a howl
Was enough to give a fright
But to him
It wouldn't bother to bite.
