"Mr. Vice! What are you doing?" Charles Dike yelled over the music at his mentor and partner, Nathaniel Vice, who was in the the testing chamber holding a strange looking device with an obliterated shooting target at the far end of the chamber.
"What?" Nathaniel yelled back.
Charles made a cutting motion across his throat and Nathaniel turned off the music and carefully pulled his goggles up onto his forehead. As the door to the chamber opened, Charles stormed in.
"What in god's name are you doing in here?! It felt like the whole place was falling to the ground!" Mr. Dike said exasperatedly.
"My dear boy, you have just witnessed the discovery of possibly one of the greatest things in human history." Dr. Vice replied calmly.
"What are you talking about?"
"I finally have solidified sound."
