grape au imagine

concept; in an alternate universe, you and grape are new to parenting and you have your first child.

"sean, can you grab melanie's bottle for me?" you shout to sean who's standing in the kitchen. "yeah sure babe." he grabs the baby bottle full of formula and walks over to the couch where you're trying to calm down your 6 month old baby girl.

"c'mon melanie it's ok, no need to cry!" you say softly, trying to soothe her. you weren't too sure as to why your precious baby girl was crying so much. you think she's crying because she's hungry, but you weren't sure.

"here you go, babe." sean says while handing you the bottle. you try to give melanie the bottle but she kept refusing it by turning her small head away. "does she need a diaper change?" sean says, trying to think of reasons why she won't calm down.

you check her diaper and it was clean. you thought, maybe she needs her pacifier. "sean i'm gonna go up to her nursery and get her paci so can you hold her for a bit?" you ask. he nods his head reaches for her.

you hand sean the baby and watch him cradle her. you went upstairs to her room and searched for the pacifier. while you were in her room, you didn't hear melanie's cries anymore.

you got the pacifier and went down to the living room where sean and melanie were, to see that melanie was fast asleep in sean's cradled arms.

"wow, she fell asleep in your arms?" you questioned. you were shocked. he laughed and nodded. "i guess she's daddy's little girl." he says, you giggled softly.

you sat next to him on the couch, resting your head on his shoulder. he kissed the top of melanie's head and then kissed yours. "my two favourite girls." he says happily.

you thought to yourself, you couldn't have a better life.
