(Luke's POV)
Hi I'm Luke. I'm an orphan for over 12 years. BTW I am bi/ bisexual. I suffer of anxiety and depression. I was turned over when I was still 3. My mom died when I was 3 because of brain tumor so I was left with my dad. My dad never really cared for me because of my situation. He never accepted of me being a bi. He became a drunkard and went to parties every night. He always hits me and makes me do wrong doings. I really hated the guy.
One night he was very high and he brought another girl with him. I am not surprised of the girl because he actually got the looks and it wasn't his first time but I was more surprised of what he did next. He gave me a box. I opened it and screamed of fear. It was drugs. I knew how they looked like. I've always seen it on the news. I threw it at him and he hit me on the head with his bottle of beer. Then I blacked out. I blinked and saw everyting white. I blinked again and saw that I was in a hospital bed. I was there for over a week and then I was sent here. In this orphanage. Never adopted.
And today was adoption day, which was everyday actually. I changed into my clothes and walked to the office of the owner. I was then sent to line up with the rest of the children. They say I have low chances of being adopted now because they were looking for children, not teens so I was hopeless. I thought Oh, what's the use of this. Then a guy over 30 went to me. "Hi!" he said with a high pitch, "What's your name?", he asked. I replied in a nice way, " My name is Luke and I am 15". "Oh", then he left. After that, he went to the owner and said he wanted to adopt the kid 2 bunks away. I am a hopeless piece of shit I thought. I then went back to my bunk and thought Tomorrow is another hopeless day anyway. I won't be adopted...
