I'm a 15 year old girl that never seems to like what every one else likes, there eyes all are glued to a computer, TV or phone screen as if they looked any where else they would die. But for me i will get a head ache after only 15 to 20 minutes of screen time. Most people gossip about the new flying car that just came out and " worlds thin-est touch screen computer" I don't think they know that earth as we know it with the, use to be beautiful beaches are trashed and most of the water brown with pollution.
To me it seems like the world is all sliver metal and lights, I can barley see any green trees or bushes, the only plants that seem to grow well only live in school class rooms and the few green houses that are left. What ever runs threw peoples minds when there on there "wonderful" electronics apparently, is not about what a deer did or how pretty the amazon was. Oh yay, and what a "mans best friend" is. Not many people in 2100 have dogs and they are close to being extinct!!!
As I'm sitting in the middle of science class i start to dose off thinking of the perfect world it use to be. The dirt roads, birds chirpping and flying over head, long stretches of grass Fields and other plants. I can picture it so clear that I could just jump into the old world.
" Brianna, what is the most important space rock we use today!?" Mrs. Ellen said with a mad and strait face. I sat there staring and pretend to look back at the "notes i took."
"I'm sorry Mrs. Ellen i cant remember... But i was wondering what did fox look like?"
" I'm sorry Brianna but i will not awnser that question because it doesn't matter....' the room goes silent as it always does when i ask a question like that. she continues to teach and I go back to daydreaming. Finally science is almost over and i can go to math! Then the word every one hates HOMEWORK... We have a work sheet front and back. The bell rings and i walk over to math with all the 10 graders laughing and the 7 and 8 graders getting shoved. i carefully move around every one and continue walking.
The bell rings once more to start class. two kids come in late with no pass, the math teacher doesn't knowt's. He clears the HQEB ( the High Quality Electronic Board ) and starts class.
" Please take out your home work and put it in the bin and study for your test." Mr.Legget's voice was very low. i start to look over my notes from this week. 2a + 3 = 4a - 2 you divide the 2a on both sides witch is now 3 = 2a - 2 then add 2 on each side and its 5 = 2a then divide by two and that's 2.25 after he was done with attendance he started passing out the test im in the back row middle seat. I put away my notes and read over the test, there are 25 questions. it looks easy. they where all word questions. 1.) What is 24 to the 5 power 2.) what is 10 to the 19 power and so on i got to the end of the test and started to draw people and random things.
" ok class there is five minutes left please turn in your tests and wait for the bell." Right after that there was the bell showing how bad his timeing was. I walk out hopeing to see a friend to walk home with but then i remember i have no friends i don't find that sad or bad, i like i be alone i was just hopeing to share my ideas. I can always call my cousin or some one along the lines of family.
" Tonight is one of those nights Brianna no reading or drawing! we have to go to your brothers power point fact show for school i will have to write a note for your teacher telling them why your home work isn't done." well i guess its going to be another boring day, but i can read , write and draw after. Its really easy to cover my tracks when i stay up late.
I get ready to go. Personaly i don't give a damn on all the new electronics, my family thinks I'm crazy but true fact the screens ware out on you eye sight. But any way we jump in our white and blue flying car and go along the road. its getting dark and all the lights come on. the yellow lines my grandfather kept talking about don't exist any more now they are neon red lights. I dont get alot of things but the biggest one is why don't people know we are killing the earth by the pollution from the cars,construction plants, Factories, and every thing else...... I hop out of the car and wish my brother good luck. I remember doing that and got a 10 out of 100 because i did it on how the world now seems bad compared to the one back then. I sit Threw two hours when finally,
" Hi, um I'm John Weeks and i am talking about how electronically advanced the world is today." Dear god kill me now, i say to my self sarcastically.
" At first this world had little to be proud of, cars on the ground, computers almost an inch thick! Well much more has changed. We are new and better than the last years. Your First big improvement was see threw phones now we are on to figuring out how to telloport although not successful yet it will be soon. We are all hopefully impressed by the out come of the united states." He finished he was shaking and scared this was his first presentation in front of parents and friends, because he is only in 4 grade. I'm trying not to laugh at how stupid he looked right now as we walked into the car.
" John you did great i'm happy that you didn't mess up. You worked very hard and it paid off, i wish your sister would have done the same..." my mom said happily. As my face turns red with anger i cant take it any more, every time some one says anything like that she brings my " disappointing" grade up and she broke the last straw!
" Mom i don't know how many times i have heard you say i messed up or disappointed you. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THOUGHT i did a topic that i liked and got a bad grade because that's not the crap every one wants to hear! And now I'm done trying to explain that to you!!!" I was mad and my mom knows when i get mad that she or some one else did something really bad. The car ride home was pretty awkward because i screamed at my mom but i think i did it for a good reason. My dad is gone on a trip to look at the new TV company, sense he's the inspector. Any way my mom tired to turn on the music like dad would always do and I was still mad so,
" Mom turn off the music no-one is in the mood for it if you haven't knottiest."
" That is not how you speak to me, you will be punished if you talk to me like that again undersud?"My mom snapped back at me, as she was talking i mouthed the words because she always says that when she doesn't know what to say in an argument.
" I understand" i say crossing my fingers. we are home now that its 9:00, oh i forgot to say the ONLY TIME I USE A LAPTOP IS FOR RESEARCH ON PLANTS AND ANIMALS. I just wanted to let you know because i have such a big hatered tord them and later on im going to pick one up.
" Mom can I stay up for a half hour I need to do something?'
"Shure but only a half hour, your luck im letting you right after you yelled at me." She can never keep a good punishment and thats why I love my mom. I hop on to the computer and type in the word fox. because in science earler I ment what I said. I looked it up to see a beautiful orange and red animal with small feet and blue eyes. From now on my favorite unknown animal is the fox, I say unknown because people dont know if they are extinct or not. The people around here say there gone forever and i think so to but now looking at what they use to be am hopeing that their still here. I walk in to my room that I painted with all different animals in the past. Now its over an hour but I dont care, I put on my very old CD player and start to paint a fox above my bed. I was impressed. I look back out threw my window at the little forest left and lie down in my bed.
I dream of me in a box, and I start to walk around it gets smaller and smaller. I know im dreaming but I was still freaked out i start to sit down when i hear voices, my mom. I woke up its 6:00 now so I only had 3 hours of sleep. I get ready for school when my mom goes back to sleep on the couch, I tell john Im going out to get something in the back pavement but thats a lie. I start running then sprinting down the street with every one staring at me. I go over to the small Forest I saw about to get destroyed.
" STOP I WONT LET YOU DO THAT!!!" i will do what ever it takes to save that land.
" Now you a little girl will save this, I dont think so. What will you do." that basterd talking to me like that i can do what ever.
" I will buy it, Or do something inreturn! i dont care what i have to do i will do i!" i was a little caulmer than befor but still mad.
" you will... How much"
" 1,000! I hope hats enough for you."
" well i can do 1,000 but you know it will be hard to fake destorying a whole forest"
" i dont care aslong as its here. If you get introble tell them it is my falt. NOW GO FAST ITS MINE NOW" i screemed at the top of my lungs. As he runs off my plan worked now i dont have to pay. I walk in to the forest for the first time it was the best place ever. I start to look deeper it to it and find bugs i never saw before.
