I am so happy I got the land and was keeping it a secrete, If my mom found out I would be dead D-E-A-D .So i decided to only go there on the week end and just say I was walking Lilly the dog we have, she is a golden retriever an endangered breed of dog. So i keep looking around and see all sorts of animals like bunnies and frogs that are also limited to life. The bunny flees and the frog just stays still I am now afraid to pick it up unlike other people so i do and it feels weird. Like a wet rock with dirt on it, I cant really explain it but it was neat. I start exploring and looking even harder for new animals i haven't heard of yet. so far none i look at my watch to see its already past time to get home seance school ended an our ago....
" Mom I'm home, sorry i had a bad headache so I walked home. I don't have any home work" I said in a happy yet tired voice
" OK well you know the drill, Choirs then help John if he needs it I need to go shopping it will only take 15 to 20 minutes."
" OK I will, bye" I did my choirs and fell asleep seance I was tired. Thank God its Saturday I don't Know If I could stand staying away from the forest, my dream last night was amazing. Its now 5:30 my moms already up so I tell her I need some fresh air I bring a plastic bag and water.
" I'll be back around 9 I plan to read at the library, Bye!" I'm so happy I can't hide it. I run down the street as fast as I can Hoping my feet catch up with the rest of me. I reach the edge of the forest and nothing happened so I'm good for now, I walk in to the space again and its like every thing changed its not so bright and dry. Its wet and dark-ish but I don't mind lots of moths there flying around, this is only the second time I have seen them and they are so cool. I go near the middle and find small orange animals crawling on the ground. I'v never hear of them so I write down what they look and feel like so i can find a name and any other Information. Then i hear something behind the tree in-front of me.
" wow" I whisper to my self as i walk up to the tree. I look behind it to see a baby fox, I don't know where its mother was so i drop my stuff down and start to build a small hut for it to stay in. I never thought that I would find a FOX.... Every one thinks there extincted. NO one will ever know because i Will keep it hidden. After i finish the shelter with the thick leaf top and wooden door-ed hut i set the fox in there and run home even faster than a car.
"MOM I AM GOING TO A FRIENDS HOUSE FOR THE NIGHT, SEE YOU TOMORROW" I screamed well i was coming back down with a bag full of blankets, pillows, ect. I skip over to the fox hut pick him up and put him in the old towel I had. I looked straight in to his baby blue eyes and smiled. I took out the milk I packed and fed him. Slowly I held him up and let him walk/ stumble around.
"what should I name you." I said in a soft sweet voice.After playing with him for many hours I answered my question.
" Hope." I was in love with that name. It was getting around dinner time for me and i am so hungry but the fox is my main concern. I fed the fox a little more milk, and ate the chips I found at the bottom of the bag, they where sour cream and Onion, my favorite! I look of my shoulder to find that Hope started to run away, so I run after him almost's along side of hope I let him keep running i can feel the wind brushing up along side of me and the dirt and grass beneath my shoes. As one falls off I don't care it was so pretty and felt like slow motion as if it was in a perfect book. He stopped in-front of a small pond. It wasn't one of those i would swim in it ponds. More like look at all the different bug's and fish. the fox drank and played some more as I pick up the different bugs and fish type creatures. By far this is the best day of my life, I don't have to think twice before saying that! I was smiling so much today i thought my face would stay that way.
" Hope! come here baby." I say as if he where a child. From now on he should be my only family because he is the only fox left that we/ I know of in existence, all the others died off because of habitat loss and hunting. Sad, that the world even came to this. The fox looks up at me but does not come.
