CHAPTER 5:

Ashley P.O.V

I stayed well away from Tyler for at least 2 days after the incident, trying to make myself seem busy when asked by Millase to take things up for him so instead I got my friend Mai took them up for me instead while I covered her chores.

There were only two humans in this house, me and Mai. Mai was like an auntie to me after I had been kidnapped away from my friends and family. It had been around a year now and I missed them all so much.

She was in her early thirties; she had long cool honey coloured hair that bounced when she walked. Her skin had a radiant glow even after Lord of the mansion had his drinking sessions with her.

Yeah you heard me right Mai is Lord Damien's supply of blood every one or two days. But I know he goes out hunting for more from other unsuspecting humans.

Mai's eyes where such a powerful blue that she had the ability to make you shiver in ice cold fear or feel the radiant warmth of a sense of belonging thank God I received the latter I had once had the misfortune of seeing her angry with one of the other maids in the house hold and for a good reason I presume Mai wasn't one to get angry or upset over little things.

I had been working in the garage with Tony a vegetarian vampire I know what you're thinking a vegetarian? Well it's a long story. This is another of Mai's job that I was borrowing for the time being in my attempt to avoid Tyler. We had tried to fix Master Tyler's Motorbike and Lord Damien's Lamborghini that's engine had broken down. So when I got back to my room after cleaning the grease off myself with a damp cloth I thought I had earned myself a well-deserved rest.

Changing into an old top and ripped pyjama pants I slipped onto my uncomfortable, lumpy and cold bed. I only lasted three hours before I was woken up by intruding hands that were obviously coming from Millase. Even though he was a vampire I kind of felt more comfortable around him than anyone else since I had to see him every single day. Through that rock hard and body, disciplined mind and face worn with deep lines sowing years of hard work I knew he had a soft heart, well for a vampire anyway.

He had never tried to attack me even when I cut myself. I had once asked him why and he said becaus

e to him my blood smelled revolting like raw fish. I had felt a great deal of relief when he had said that but for some odd reason I had felt a little offended.

Another rough push snapped me out of my trance and I shut my eyes tightly and tried to go back to sleep and ignore the hands that where persisting in their attempt to wake me up.

"Wake up Ashley" he said gruffly. I decided it was best not to anger him to much after all I was quite fond of him. I slowly opened my eyes and stretched much the same as a panther. As I was heading to my closet to grab my working clothes for the day Millase spoke again.

"Before you go anywhere you have to brush those teeth of yours" he said jokingly making me give him a dirty glare my breathe did not smell just to make sure I turned away from him and quickly put my hand up to my mouth and breathed out and sniffed . I couldn't detect anything remotely smelly once again I turned and shot him a dirty glare while he just laughed.

Some days Millase could be such fun but at other times his heart can sometimes freeze making him become such a dick today I feared was a mixture of both and I had to put up with him.
