Chapter 22

(Y/n)'s POV

We were going to school.

"Hey (Y/n)," (r/n) greeted.
"Hi..."
"Hmm? What's wrong? Did something happen?" she asked innocently.
"The student council...they've gone on a little vacation."
"Oh, where did they go?"
"I'm...not sure."
"But they'll be coming back, right?"
"I don't know."
"Oh..."

She smiled gently and gave me a hug before waving and running over to her friends. I went to the third library. It felt empty without them. I wiped my tears away.

I have to believe that they were coming back. I sat in Rem-nii's seat and hugged my knees. Someone came in. I immediately sat up straight.

"Are you (Y/n)?" the boy asked. I nodded.
"The teachers have decided to make you the president of the student council now that they have left. As for the others, you can decide for yourself who you want."
"Thank you, you may leave." He smiled and left. Lindo came in.
"Aren't you suppose to be in class?"
"Well, I wanted to check on you," he replied.
"Are you ever gonna go to class?" He thought about it.
"Maybe not, its boring." I laughed.
"Then you can join me in the student council."
"Are you sure?" I nodded. He hugged me and touched my cheek.
"I'll always stay by your side," he said.
"I know you will." Suddenly, Loewen came in.
"You...didn't leave?"
"I was just getting ready to leave but I didn't get to say goodbye to you since I was busy," he replied. I hugged him.
"I'll miss you."
"As will I."
"Thanks for all the lessons."
"It was my pleasure." He smiled and teleported to the devil world. Lindo wiped my tears away.
"Ha, another person to miss."
"Don't think about it too much. I'm sure they would want you to continue living like you normally would."
"...you're right."

~Home time~

We met Ritsuka and went home.

"Wait!"
"What?" Lindo asked.
"I need to buy more sweets." They laughed.
"Okay, we'll go with you," Ritsuka replied.
"Thanks."

We went to the sweet shop. I got four of every sweet there. Lindo and Ritsuka sweatdropped, which caused me to laugh.

"Gosh, it feels like we're clothes shopping," Ritsuka exclaimed.
"Well, its called buying sweets when they're on sale." Lindo pat my head.
"Same as always," he said. We went to their place.
"Hi Maria, you won't need to cook for tonight."
"Why?"
"We got sweets." I gestured towards the five big bags we had.
"And you payed for all of this?" she asked. I nodded happily.
"Thank you."
"I'm gonna go home for a while."
"Will you be back for dinner?" Ritsuka asked.
"Yeah."
"If you don't mind, I'm going with (Y/n)," Lindo said.
"Yeah sure, have fun," Maria replied with a smile. We left.
"Why are you coming with me?"
"I said that I will never leave your side."
"Like literally?"
"Yep."
"Eh?!" He laughed.
"I'm joking."
"Ugh, I can't be bothered walking." I took his hand and teleported back home.
"Seriously?" he asked. I giggled.
"Oh Lindo, would you mind telling the chef that I won't be having dinner here tonight?"
"Yeah sure."

I went to Rem-nii's room. Everything was just as he had left it. I sat on his bed then a little piece of paper fell on the ground. I picked it up and flipped it over.

"Oh..." It was a picture of all of us. I smiled. *sigh* I still remembered that day...

~Flashback (when you were 8)~

I laughed and ran into the forest to hide.

"1, 2, skip a few, 99, 100. Ready or not, here I come!" Mage yelled.
"Hey! That's cheating!" I quickly covered my mouth.
"Found you, (Y/n)." Damnit.
"But you can't catch me."

He found me, all that was left was catching me. I laughed and ran away from him. While I was running, I tripped over what looked like Urie's whip. He quickly pulled me up and muttered a sorry.

"It's okay." Mage came.
"Urie, found you too!"
"Damn."

We ran for our lives. Eventually, Mage had found everyone...everyone except for Loewen. He also tagged us and I was the first to be tagged. We spent a long time looking for Loewen.

Where could he be? Wait, he usually hid inside the house. I ran there and went to his room. He was casually reading a book.

"Wah?!" He laughed.
"We were looking all over for you!"
"Well, I was getting bored," he replied. Then everyone came in.
"Master Rem, it is time for your photo," a servant exclaimed.
"Tell them I'll be there in a sec," he replied. I smiled at them.
"Come on then, what are you waiting for?"

~Flashback end~

Lindo waved his hands in front of my eyes.

"Huh? Sorry."
"Daydreaming?" he asked, smiling. I nodded sheepishly.
"What's that?" He looked at the photo.
"You look cute," he suddenly exclaimed. *blush*
"Wanna go back now?" I nodded. He grabbed my hand.
"Oh and no teleporting."
"Awww, but walking takes too long."
"Exercise is good for you," he replied.
"Ugh, I don't wanna exercise."
"Well, you have to now." I pouted. He laughed. We went back to their place.
"Oh, you two are just on time," Maria exclaimed.
"Are we having sweets?" She laughed.
"No but we can have some for dessert."
"Yay!" Ritsuka giggled.
"You're just like a child," Ritsuka said.
"Glad you consider me young." They laughed. I smiled and sat down at the dinner table.
