In primary school, Kageyama was just naturally smart, picking things up things really easily and was at the top of his class.
But when it got to junior high, he actually had to start learning things, in primary that wasn't a problem. So things became difficult for Kageyama because he hadn't developed skills to learn things, and that is why he isn't the best in his classes now.
