Okay, I've got my mortarboard, straightened my hair, done my make-up and I've got my phone. I've got chestnut brown, curly hair, it's a bit longer than my shoulders and I've got bright blue eyes. I hate curly hair! It looks too cute and is hard to keep under control, so a simple solution is to straighten it, though, I'm usually too lazy to straighten it. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but I just can't figure out what, I guess it's not important. Oh my god I smell pancakes!
'Mom! Save me a few pancakes!'
'Your sister, Gabby, will eat all of them. Hurry up!'
'Okay, I'm coming!'
If my sister eats all of the pancakes I'll seriously kill her.
Wow, these pancakes are delicious! I just hope my mom won't get too emotional, because I'm graduating. I haven't even told her I'm planning on deferring college for a year to travel, she won't take it that well. Oh god, there it comes.
'Oh dear, Vanessa you have grown so much! I'm so proud of you. Have you actually decided to which college you'll be going to?'
'No, mom, I haven't yet, but don't worry about it.'
'I'm so proud of you. Do you have everything? We have to leave.'
'I think so.'
'Do you have your necklace?'
'That's what I forgot! I'll be right back.'
I can't believe I forgot my necklace. I got it on my 10th birthday. There's actually a myth behind it, it's really silly, though. Every person gets a necklace, it's the half of a shape and your soul mate will have the other half to find your true love easier, without any fake boyfriends or broken hearts. Each pair of necklaces has a specific shape and is different from the others, that way it's easier to find your soul mate. My mom has always told me that my necklace is special, not just a normal shape, but a logo and that I'll understand everything when I find the person with the other half and that I can't tell anyone about it, because there'll be people wanting to take it from me. Of course it's nonsense. A necklace can't define who your true love is, I bet that true love doesn't even exist. Anyways, I always wear it, because it's pretty and it matches everything.
'Gabby, Vanessa, lets leave! Today is your big day, Vanessa.'
'Okay, mom, lets just go now.'

How am I supposed to tell my mom I'm deferring college for a year to travel? Actually it's not that big of a deal, my mom also never told my how my father died, she only said that he died a few days after I was born. Okay, I'll just go downstairs and tell her.
'Mom, I need to tell you something.'
'What is it honey?'
'I've already decided that I'll be deferring college for a year to travel.'
'Are you sure that you want to do that?'
'Yes, I'm sure.'
'Okay, when will you be leaving?'
'Tomorrow.'
'TOMORROW? SO SOON?'
'Yes...'
'Where are you going to?'
'I think I'll go to Mexico city first, I'll decide the rest on my way.'
'What about Gabby?'
'I'll talk to her.'
'Okay.'
Oh my god, is she seriously sitting there and eavesdropping?
'Gabby, did you eavesdrop?'
'Yes, I did. How can you just leave us like that?!'
'Gabby, it's just a year, it's not that long. Don't worry about it.'
'It is! I'm going to miss you, Vanessa.'
'Aw, I'll miss you too, Gabby.'
Bloody hell, that was harder than I thought it'd be. At least it's done now. I should pack up my stuff, tomorrow is a big day.

'Vanessa! Wake up! Did you forget that you're going to Mexico today?'
'5 more minutes!'
'No, mom made waffles for breakfast'
'Waffles? I'm coming!'
'Wow, you're fast.'
'Anything for home made waffles.'
'You won't have any home made waffles if you go, though. Maybe you should just stay here.'
'Nice try, Gabby.'
Bloody hell, I'm going to miss Gabriella (Gabby is her nickname), I'm also going to miss my mom, but I do think I'm going to explore a lot of amazing things.
'Mom, Gabby, I have to leave if I want to arrive at the hotel before it gets dark. I'll miss you guys.'
'Aw, honey, we'll miss you too, we love you.'
'I know, mom, it's not the end of the world, but I love you guys too.'
'Have you got all of your stuff? Your necklace?'
'Yes, mom, I've got all of my stuff, my necklace included.'
'Okay, leave now before I start crying.'
'Bye mom. Bye Gabby.'
