Chapter 1
"You know what, Trey!" I screamed.
"What!" He blurted back.
"You drive me insane!" I said turning my back to him. When i turned back around he was right in front of my face.
"I'm done." He said in a calm voice, almost a whisper. The last time I had heard him use this tone was months ago, when he told me he loved me for the first time. I stood frozen as Trey walked away. His body moving with that same little twitch as always but this time it was different. It was different because that little twitch was walking away from me, for good. I don't know why but that twitch was the reason I started crying as i stumbled home.
I threw open the door and fell onto my old bed. Stuffing my face into my pillow did nothing to stop the tears from pouring out. I couldn't stop myself from all the heaving, I could barely breath in between the waves of tears, flowing from my eyes. When i finally lifted my head, 3 hours had passed. 3 hours of sitting here,crying.
"May! Come eat! I got your favorite, pumpkin pie!"
"I..uh... I have homework to do Mom, Ill come down later!" I said hoping she didn't hear the shaking in my voice.
I actually did have homework to do. I got up and sluggishly walked to my book bag, pulling out my Algebra 1 book. I slammed it down on my desk and opened it up. "2x-8 is greater tha...."
"Beep, Beep, Beep!" I slowly lifted my head and looked at my alarm clock. 7:28.
"Oh my gosh, late, again!" I shouted outloud.
I threw on some sweats and a hoodie, grabbed a cherry pop tart and ran out the door. Luckily, my bus was sitting there waiting for me. "That would probably be the only lucky thing that would happen to me today." I thought as i took my seat on the bus.
