6:56 pm
Josh hopped out of his car, sprinting into the ally that Tyler said he was in. It was dimly lit by a light off of one of the buildings, giving Josh just enough light to see where he was going. He could hear shaky breathing and quiet sobs. He walked over to where he heard the sounds coming from. What he saw shattered his heart. Tyler was curled up on his side beside a garbage bin, shaking and crying.
"Oh my gosh, Tyler!" Josh exclaimed in shock as he dropped to his knees, moving so that Tyler's head would be on his lap.
"J-josh?" Tyler asked in a small voice. He didn't move from the position he was in, still in shock. Josh just ran his fingers through the Tyler's hair, trying to get the boy to calm down a bit.
"It's me Ty. Don't worry, you're safe now," Josh cooed as he continued stroking the boy's hair. With those few words, Tyler gently sat up and tightly hugged Josh. Tears started to come out of the boy's eyes again as he began to quietly sob into Josh's shoulder. Josh rocked their bodies back and forth in a swaying motion while telling Tyler repeatedly that he was okay now.
Eventually, the tears stop falling and Tyler's sobs turned into occasional sniffles. It was now just around 7:45 pm and Tyler was starting to get sleepy. Josh could tell too by his small yawns.
"C'mom Ty, let's get you back to my place," Josh said as he started standing up, bringing Tyler with him so that Tyler's legs were wrapped around Josh's hips.
Josh walked in a fast pace to his car. He went around to the passengers side, opening the door and dropping Tyler's small lightly onto the seat. He ran around the front of his car and hopped into his seat, the car's engine roaring to life as he sped off down the street. He looked over to see Tyler curled up in a ball, light small snores falling out of his mouth.
"You'll be okay Tyler, you'll be okay,"
