"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all." ~ Princess Diaries

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there lived a---

OKAY, THIS IS NOT A FAIRY TALE,  LET ME TELL YOU HOW IT REALLY GOES.

It all starts off with me having a regular ordinary day, it's crazy how one day everything is perfectly fine and the next day, someone extraordinary happens. So, it's Monday and I wake up at 6:00. I was extremely tired, another reason why I shouldn't stay up at night watching Chick Flicks.

Anyways, I get out of bed and walk to the bathroom first thing in the morning, (Yes, I am one of those people who brush their teeth before breakfast.) The urge to get back in bed is so strong, so I decide to wash my face with cold water hoping I would feel more awake, but it barely made a difference. Then I go downstairs for breakfast. My mom already left for work, so no one can tell me that I can't have leftover pizza for breakfast. After I'm finished, I get ready, my school has a strict uniform. For my uniform I wear a Khaki skirt, with a simple White T- shirt, and a Navy Blue vest over it with my school logo. After I'm ready, I put my hair into a quick ponytail, grab my bag, and go out the door.

I make it in time for the bus to come, when I get in, I give the bus driver my student ID but, there's only one problem, I can't find it, I left it at home. WELL THAT'S JUST GREAT. Now, I have to walk all the way home, and be late to school. My mom is going to kill me. As I go back down the bus stairs, I hear a voice, a familiar voice, it's Liam. He's offering to pay for it, now usually I don't like to accept money from other people but in this case, I am not about to get busted so... I might as well use it. I'll pay him back later. "Sure, thanks a lot, you really saved me today. I'll pay you back" I said, "Don't bother." He replied as he payed the bus driver. I walked down the aisle looking for a spot on the bus, I found myself sitting near the back, but a few seats forward.

When we got to the school, the bus stopped. Everyone on the bus got off and headed to the main doors so they could put their stuff in their lockers and get ready for class. I went inside and walked to my locker, I put my bag and my other junk in there. I got my notebook and a pencil and started to walk towards class, "RING!". The bell rang, time for class.

"Class dismissed.", You don't know how long I've been waiting to hear that, it was the end of last period. I walked to my locker to get my things, a few lockers to my right I turn to see, Liam. He's getting his things to leave. Liam has dark brown hair that goes in the perfect direction, pale skin with freckles, and green eyes. He doesn't have a very buff body but doesn't have a flat body, he's right in the middle. I walk out of school with my best friend; Sasha and we go to her car and drive to Starbucks. I got a Grande Cotton Candy Frappucino and Sasha got a Vinte Ice Coffee because she is just in love with caffeine.  She drops me off to my house after we get the drinks.

When I get in, I see my mother and a lady I have never seen before in the kitchen talking, my mom looks very surprised. Suddenly, they spot me, my mom says "Alex, could you come here? We have some news to tell you." Well that doesn't sound very fun. She starts by saying "First of all, Alex, this is your Grand-mother." WAIT HOLD UP, THIS IS MY GRANDMOTHER? Okay your probably wondering why I don't know my own grand-mother well, you see the thing is, when I was small, (2 years old) my mom and dad had a divorce. Things weren't working out well for them, my dad married someone and a year ago both of them died in a car accident. My mom and I never went to the funeral because we didn't have much money, (my dad moved to another country with her.) I never met my step-mother, and I don't remember how my dad looks like because, when they got divorced, my mom was so depressed, she threw out almost anything that reminded her of him, that's including pictures. So we didn't have much contact with anyone on his side of the family.  Anyways, back to the story, grandmother stood up and gave me a nice long hug, it made me feel like I was hugging my father.

She sat back down in our dining table chair. Our house wasn't very big so our dining room was in the kitchen. Then, my grand-mother said "Alexandra, as you know your father died." "Yes..." I said, very confused about the whole situation. Grand-mother continued, "Well, what you don't know is your father married your new step-mother but, she is also the Queen of Ethelonia."
