Running through the darkness a mother ran with her young twin boys. Fearing that the beast chasing her would catch them. Her heart was beating loudly in her ears as she dodged trees left and right. Her grip never loosening on her boys. With the kids she was slower but she would never sacrifice her children for herself. The beast had killed her husband before they had the chance of being ten yards away. His cries of pain echoing in her head. I'm so sorry I couldn't die with you my love. You and I both know how important our boys are to this world. I just hope they live long enough to fulfill their destiny. The creature was getting closer. It roared as the gap between them closed. "I'm going to gut you in front of those runts and have them watch as the last breath leaves your body. They will be crying for you and that rotting corpse of a father as I turn my hunger onto them. I promise to kill them quickly Rosaria." Its voice was calm and cold. It sent shivers of fear down her spine and her footing slipped. Cursing softly under her breath she shooed her boys away then whispered an incantation. An odd tingling feeling hit the boys as a soft hum surrounded them. The beast growled as it walked up to the fallen woman. "You are hiding my prey. Not very wise for a broken, useless and weak woman. Now I can only assume they are still close by. Let them watch you die an agonizing death." The creature hissed out as it raised a clawed hand. As his hand came down a light flashed before the boys and they heard a faint voice. "I love you both very much. Please you must live on and save this world from the hell that will surely be released upon it. Never forget who you are." The eldest boy held onto his sibling who shook in his arms. I promise to protect him mommy. We will never forget you or father. "We love you too." His small voice broke as tears slid down his dirty cheeks.

Waking up in a bed with the smell of food made Cage worry. Not sure as to how they had gotten to the place they were now, he feared the worst. Looking around he nearly jumped out of his skin as something warm touched him. Turning to see his brother cuddled up to him and still asleep. Sighing he patted his brother on the head. "Wake up Kyran, we have to get out of here. Wake up you bonehead." Cage shook his brother a little bit. A sleepy groan reached his ears. Opening his eyes, Kyran looked at his brother. "I don't wanna get up yet. My leg still hurts bubby." Panic hit Cage. "Wait here I'll scan the place for some bandages. How bad does your leg hurt? You think it might be broken?" He didn't know how to handle this. Mommy and daddy always took care of our wounds. Mommy would sometimes use light to heal the really bad ouchies. She wasn't here now and neither was daddy. He looked out the door. No one was in sight so he quietly snuck down the hallway. As he got close to the bathroom a man stepped out in front of him. "Heya kid, are you guys ok? Is there anything you want? I made breakfast so you two can eat if you feel like it?" Cage stared at him and clenched his fist. "Who are you and why are we here? Our mommy and daddy won't like that you took us." "You're a brave one huh? I found you guys outside my house passed out. Your brother has a pretty bad injury on his leg so he shouldn't be walking on it just yet. I know what happened to your folks too. I'm like your godfather of sorts. You can trust me Cage." Looking at the man he tried to recall his face. "You hurt my brother and I will hurt you." Turning the little boy walked back to the room. He watched the man carefully as he tended to his brother.
