Inazuma Eleven OC Story: Chiyuri Katsura.

Chapter 3. First year at jr. High.

A few years later, Chiyuri started with jr. high school. As she wanted to make a new start, she decided to join a club, hoping it would also help her to make friends easier. At first, she had no idea which club to join. She wasn't very athletic, and even though she sometimes liked to watch anime, she didn't want to join a club about it, thinking it would probably make her even less populair. Eventually she joined the karate club, having the desire to be able to defend herself and become stronger. She didn't want to look weak anymore. She also cut her long hair, making it shoulder-lenght. Even though she had a hard time changing her attitude, she became more loud and energetic, instead of shy and scared like she used to be, like her real self.

On her first day of jr. high, she sat down in class next to a girl named Reiko Otosaki. Both being new, they quickly became friends. Reiko was friendly, outgoing, and always had perfect grades. On top of that, she was really beautiful aswell. She was someone that Chiyuri really admired, and although they didn't have a lot in common with eachother, they'd spend a lot of time together and eventually became best friends. The one thing they did have in common, was that they both had a crush on the same guy in their class, Hiro. Reiko had told Chiyuri that she liked him, but Chiyuri didn't tell her that she actually liked him too. Since Reiko was the only close friend she had, she didn't want to lose her. Because of that, Chiyuri tried to hide her feelings and pushed them away, knowing that it was wrong to like the same boy that her best friend liked. She wasn't really thinking about going to America anymore, in fact, she had forgotten all about that now that she had a new life with new friends. Over time, the feelings she had for Domon had started to fade away, as she also had abandoned all hope that she would ever see him again. Besides, even if she met him again, he could've gotten another girlfriend, and even if he hadn't, he might not even like the person she had become, as she was very different from how she used to be now.

Later, Reiko started to become more populair at school. She made other friends too, and almost forgot about Chiyuri when she got a new group of friends that followed her around all the time. Chiyuri still stayed close to Reiko, but she could easily tell that Reiko's new friends didn't like her at all. All they did was ignore her though. Since Chiyuri was in the karate club, and was also known to be very good at it, they were afraid that she might get angry and do something to them if they started to bully her. Then Hiro, who liked Reiko because she was really pretty and populair, confessed to her, and the two of them became a couple. Reiko started to forget even more about Chiyuri. It made her feel really lonely, and her situation at home made it even worse for her. Aside from the loneliness, she was also very jealous of Reiko. Mainly because Reiko didn't give Chiyuri any attention, but also because Reiko got wat Chiyuri always had wanted; close friends. Even though Chiyuri had Aki and Domon in America, she'd lost them when she had to move. Over time, the jealousness started to turn into anger and frustration. She tried to hide it at first, but eventually couldn't hold it in anymore, which resulted in Reiko being angry about how Chiyuri acted against her and her friends. Still wanting to be friends with her, Reiko called Chiyuri over to her house to talk it out between the two of them.

She closed the door behind her after entering. Reiko was sitting on her bed, it was a huge pink princess-like one, even including small matching curtains. Chiyuri had often felt jealous about it. Since she was a little kid, she had always dreamed of having a bed like that of her own. But she knew that dream wasn't going to come true, as her aunt would never buy her one. She had to live with the crampy old bed she had in her room. ''Sit down'' Reiko commanded when she saw that Chiyuri was still standing. Chiyuri shook her head in response. She didn't feel like sitting and wanted to have this over with as soon as possible. Reiko sighed. ''What's wrong?'' she sounded a bit irritated, as if she thought this was a total waste of time. Before Chiyuri could answer, she continued. ''I know you better than anyone, and you haven't been acting like yourself lately''. 'You're wrong, the person you and everyone else think I am, is not who I really am' is what Chiyuri thought, but held it in. ''I'm probably just tired. Have been learning for the upcoming exams you know?'' Chiyuri laughed a bit. It was faked, but that's how she usually handled situations like this. However, Reiko wasn't satisfied. ''Learning? You never study'' she said while frowning. ''But, if you don't want to talk about it, I'm not going to force you'' Reiko sighed for a moment, then glanced at the bracelet she wore around her right hand. ''Where did you get that?'' Chiyuri tried to change the subject. ''Oh this?'' Reiko said. ''Hiro gave it to me today'' she looked a bit dreamy while speaking of Hiro's name. ''We went on a date, it was so romantic!'' ''Good for you'' Chiyuri replied coldly, but immediately regretted her own action. She let her own jealousness take over once again. ''What's wrong with you?'' Reiko sounded annoyed. ''I thought you were happy for me?'' ''I am, sorry'' Chiyuri couldn't look Reiko in her eyes. She hated lying, but how could she be happy for Reiko when what she really wanted was to have Hiro for herself? ''Are you... jealous?'' Reiko suddenly asked. Chiyuri was caught by surprise. Did Reiko know she liked Hiro? ''I...'' Chiyuri began, but she couldn't finish what she wanted to say. ''You want to have a boyfriend too, right? I totally understand, after having to see me and Hiro the whole time'' Reiko was obviously convinced about it. Chiyuri just looked at her, dumbfounded. ''Hey, why don't you date Ishida-kun from class 1-C? I heard he got a crush on you'' Reiko continued. Chiyuri didn't even know who he was, she had never even heard of him. Probably someone who had once seen her in the hallway and only liked her because of her appearance. ''That's not it..'' Reiko looked surprised upon hearing Chiyuri's response. ''Really? But what's it then?'' For a moment, Chiyuri thought Reiko looked genuinely worried. ''You can tell me anything. We're best friends, remember? Just trust me''. ''Really, anything? You won't get mad at me?'' Chiyuri wanted to tell someone more than anything. Even though she had told herself a million times she had to keep it secret, especially from Reiko, she was on the verge of breaking and she knew she couldn't hold it in much longer. ''Really'' Reiko smiled gently. Chiyuri took a deep breath. ''I.. like Hiro-kun too'' she then said.
