I'm Leaving

After I through things in my bag, I go outside and wait for my taxi that I called. I hear people yelling and it took a few seconds to register that it was directed at me. 

I turn an face only some of the faces I plan of escaping from.

"What", I ask. 

"Why do you have a bag, where are you going", Alex asks.

"I'm leaving", I reply. Not really staring at him, more through him.

"Leaving, what about your sister and mother", He asks

"Does your mum even know you're going?", he questions.

"My birth giver is dead", I state.

"What, to you?", he rudely laughs.

"No, I mean she's dead. Not alive. Gone. But, at least she had her exit", I say.

"Oh, So. What about your sister", he asks quieter.

"She's staying with her uncle", Or father, I thought to myself.

"Oh, what about me", He asks.

"I think I've had enough of you for a while", I say.

"Where are you going", he asks me.

"I'll tell you when I get there", I almost breathe.

He just stares at me as the taxi pulls up next to me.

"Bye", he says.

"Yeah", I say as I hop in and ask the driver to take me somewhere new.

Yeah.

I arrive at a truck stop and the taxi driver forgets to ask me to pay. I'm not complaining.

I walk into the little burger shop and a lady shouts, "I quit, good luck finding someone else to take a job with a shitty payments".

"I'll take it", the words left my mouth before I registered it.

"Welcome, my name is Peter. You'll be working the register and serving tables. know you to do any of that", He questions.

"Yes, used to work as a waiter back in Dreekstale", I explain.

"Good, you start now", he smiles.

"Cool bananas", I give him a thumbs up.

after a 9 hour shift he shows me to nearby hotel that he owned. He gave me a key and said that room 13 was my new home. I smiled and thanked him.

Fresh start is always good.
