Cara's POV
Do you believe in love at first sight? It's stupid right? Well, that's what I thought too until just minutes ago.
I knew it was him. His eyes lured me in from the very first second that I gazed upon them. We stood there, just staring at each other. It was hard to tell what was in his eyes with all the water dripping from his hair to his unbelievably beautiful face, but I knew mine were filled with adoration and love.
"Oh, Mr Hennig. Hello, I'm captain Lee. Thank you so much for giving us permission to land. I don't even want to think about what would've happened if we didn't land here." John, my private plane's captain said to him. I decided to walk to them as the well structured man I couldn't get my eyes off said "You're welcome" without taking his eyes off mine.
"Hello Mr Hennig. I'm Cara." I finally found it in me to speak. It was like he was demanding me to do so. "It was quit nice of you to let us land in your island. I'm sorry for the trouble. We'll leave as soon as help arrives." I said without ever moving my eyes from him. Usually when I encounter a creature this perfect, I lose my tongue, but at that moment, I just wanted to talk just to find out how he reacts to my voice. Is it like how I react to his every movement?
"It was most certainly my pleasure miss Cara." He took my hand and kissed it, sending all kinds of shivers down my spine. I almost had a seizure. Oh how he calls my name...
"We would like to thank Mrs. Hennig as well. She was very kind to us when we landed but we were so shook up about the incident that we didn't get the time to thank her." John said, suddenly making me remember the gorgeous woman who helped us with our wounds and other stuff. Was that his wife? I couldn't help but feel broken. As if anything was going to happen between him and me. Pathetic. Don't get me wrong, I'm not ugly or anything. In fact a lot of people say I'm the most beautiful girl they've ever seen. But I'm a tomboy, and I mean a REAL tomboy. His aura, it just doesn't feel like the type of person's who'd like a tomboy. He was a gentleman. So he needed a lady. Like Mrs. Hennig.
"Yes of course captain. Let's go inside then, shall we?" He still didn't look away from my eyes.I sighed internally at my thoughts about how I'm not good enough for him and how I'm not his type.
As we started walking back to the huge mansion in the middle of the island and got further away from the shore, I could feel his gaze on my back. 'For someone who's married he sure likes to ogle other women.'
"Oh my dear, I see you're awake. I went to your room to check on you but you were gone." Mrs. Hennig said as she came to me hurriedly. "You had me worried little girl." She had a beautiful warm smile plastered on her perfect face. Her perfect 'lady' face.
"I just wanted to walk on the shore a little. I'm sorry." I said lowly, thinking that this woman was too nice for me to hate her just for being his wife.
"And I see you've met Sebastian." He pointed to behind me where Mr Hennig and John were walking slowly and chatting. Oddly, he still was staring at me. 'So his name is Sebastian.' "Seb, Romero called, he's very mad at you mister." Mrs. Hennig ,whose name I have yet to know, told Sebastian as they reached us.
"I've been trying to ignore him for the past few days." His gut-wrenchingly sexy voice said from behind me. I could feel his breath in my neck, feeling uneasy that he would act like this in front of his wife.
"You're such a sulky little 5 year old." Mrs. Hennig said as we all started walking towards the magnificent mansion. "If our parents were alive right now, you know what they would've said?"
'Our parents? Oh my God. They're siblings. Thank God.' And with that a giddy smile appeared on my face, not deciding to go away for a long time.
"Please don't Sarah." Sebastian said to Mrs. Hennig, Sarah, bitterly. 'I guess talking about his parents isn't his favorite thing'.
