I have no idea why I'm updating I just feel bad. I have been going through a rough time and wattpad is really my only escape. When I read I completely embody a whole new personality, a whole new life. There is no harsh reality. New name new everything. I can forget my troubles. So long story short if reading gives me such a great feeling then writing is like being being Santa for a day.

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. A man who never reads only lives one.

Al could feel the tension through the phone.

He didn't expect to be woken up from his peaceful slumber to the shrill call of the phone. Nor did he expect it to be an alpha calling him in the wee hours of the morning. So imagine his surprise and fear when it was the dreaded alpha turned out to be alpha of the Mercy pack. Unfortunately for Al, they weren't given their name for kindness or forgiveness. He thought it was ironic, Al did. They weren't merciful at all. In fact quite the opposite. Mercy pack was given their names by their victims. Since mercy was the last thing they ever uttered through bloody torn lips.

"Hello." It was silent after the words tumbled out of Al's mouth. He was about to hang up the phone and return to his beautiful wife and mate when he finally spoke.

"Where is it." His voiced nearly made the very grown man forget everything his mother had taught him through potty-training stage of his life. It sent a chill down his spine and Al thought very carefully on his next possibly last words.

"Where is what?" Al's words came out a little more confident then he felt.

"Don't play dumb with me Alabaster. I don't like playing with my prey." The words echoed around the room mocking him even though Al knew the source came from the cute cherry red landline his wife had found in the dusty corners of the attic.

"I don't know what your talking about Alpha Mercy." Al didn't know his real name, no one did, but he had assumed it would match his sparkling personality. Maybe Death or better yet, Satan.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about." Alpha Mercy knew that as soon as he finished dealing with this poor excuse for an Alpha he would issue a Code Black.

Al didn't expect his past to come bite him in the ass so soon. It had been over 25 years ago and long before Alpha Mercy was even born. "I can assure you I have no clue what your talking about." He was lying through his teeth.

"Perhaps. Maybe your mate, Linda is it, would know more about what I'm talking about." At his words Al tensed. His loving wife had no idea of what he used to be before he met her.

"Don't you dare bring my wife into this. That was 27 years ago and she shall not be made aware of my past life." Al desperately hoped to be pardoned from his mistakes and after 21 years he had been in the clear. His hopes died after his next words.

"We'll see."

The phone disconnected and Al immediately issued a Code Black.
