I know I'm awesome. There aren't any good books out that isn't in my library. There all unupdated.
And now for what you all have been waiting for WINK WINK
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We were on a pack run. I don't mind pack runs since usually they take place right before pack dinner which was every Sunday and full moons. And I loved pack dinner. It had the best food. They go all out especially on a full moon. Every 28 days its like its Thanksgiving. I had once gotten roped into helping cook and let me tell you. It was a work out. It lasted all day no breaks and you were constantly tortured by the enticing smell and slaving over a hot mammoth stove didn't help. Never again.
It was all worth it though, when you laughed and told stories with the pack. And occasionally we would start a huge bonfire and roast marshmallows. If that sounded awesome barbecues were even better. Every season we would have a barbecue, it was legendary. Safe to say, I'm not a vegetarian.
The Alpha howled and it pulled me out of my food thoughts. Soon everyone followed howling towards the starry night sky. I put all my emotions into that howl, my fear, anger, sadness it was a huge stress reliever. The children who couldn't shift sat atop the other wolves howled too.
We were all headed back to the pack house shifted into our human forms dressed with the clothes that we had left in the clearing tired from the days festivities. Some wolves like me left to their own respective homes scattered near the pack house. The rest of my family were still at the pack house chatting with the adults who wanted to savor the night drinking alcohol and whatnot.
As I walked up the steps I could tell something was different about my house. It was quiet and not even the soft pitter patter of Rae, Nemo, and Mice roaming the house could be heard.
I pushed the door and it swung wide open protesting with a creaky groan. That was weird. I thought mom locked the door before leaving this morning. I headed straight for my shower not before saying hello to my kitties.
I stared at myself in the mirror. My knotty dark hair fell at my fairly sized boobs. While I wasn't blessed nor ignored entirely of the breast department I made up for it with my eyes. The were my second favorite thing about my body. They were often compared to a big blue hurricane. My parents actually were gonna call me Abigail until I was born. Framed by longish eyelashes, shaped eyebrows, and a nose I neither like nor hate. I love my complexion though, it was my favorite thing about me, naturally pale blemish free soft pinkish skin, I had gotten lucky in that department. I tattooed a wolf right behind my ear which was the only tattoo on my skin. Other then the wolf tattoo I have a birthmark on my left upper thigh right next to my hooha that had a strange resemblance of the sun from Tangled.
I also had long legs which I absolutely despised. For the longest time I had no control over my legs and was the tallest yet clumsiest girl in middle school. I'm still clumsy but its no where near 13 year old me. It definitely doesn't help to know that at 5'8, I'm the tallest of my best friends. Sarah at 5'0, Avery at 5'5 and Sapphire at 5'4. And yes I check every month to see if they had gotten taller or if I had shrunken down to normal size. I stripped and hopped in the shower.
The warm water cascaded down my back further soothing me into bliss. I hummed along to Rihanna's new album. I tried to keep the white bandage out of the water but I inevitably failed. It would only scar for a day or two with my fast healing but Alpha wanted me to keep it on so no one would ask questions. He needn't voice it but I knew to keep my findings to myself. The other large bandage wrapped around my torso would stay for 2 weeks but after awhile I had gotten used to the uncomfortable feel.
