"klang"

The sword of Gryffindor that Ron was holding slammed trough the locked.

"Is it destroyed?" Hermione asked before letting out an 'ooh' of surprise.

Both boys who were looking at her turned their heads.

Something greyish and silver came out of the locket, it looked like mist but in one ray. A bit like a spell getting cast out of a wand.

After a few seconds the mist was gone but a young man stood there, right in front of them.

He, just like all ghosts, was silver and greyish and you could look through him. The man was taller than Harry and Hermione but shorter than Ron.
He also looked about their age.

"You destroyed my locket." he said on a calm tone "How can I ever repay you?"

All three looked confused at the man.

"You are Regulus Black, aren't you?" Hermione asked him "Sirius' younger brother."

"Yes I am, that was very clever of you." Regulus said.

"How'd you know it's him, Hermione?" Harry asked her.

"Sirius showed you his family tree, right? I was there too, you know, and I saw his name on the tapestry with a little picture." She explained to Harry, and Ron because he was looking very confused too.

"And kreacher told us about you." Hermione said at last.

"Couldn't he destroy it? I knew it, poor kreacher. I shouldn't have told him to do so." except from the first sentence he mumbled to him self.

"He is still alive, right?" Regulus asked the trio.

"Yes, don't worry 'bout him." Ron said.
"Do you perhaps know where the other horcruxes are?"

"No, I don't, I'm sorry." Regulus said with an even sadder expression than he already had. "How is Sirius? I never could tell him how much he actually meant to me and that I was sorry."

"He...euhm, Sirius is dead..." Hermione said almost bursting out in tears. "He, he escaped askaban about four years ago but..."

Hermione started crying and Ron took over from her. " He died a heroic death, he fought in the ministry alongside the rest of the order but he was the only one who went away. I'm sorry."

A silent tear rolled over Regulus' cheek, the trio didn't notice it.

"Good luck on your further journey, and the good will always prevail." He said before becoming most again and disappearing in nothing.

The trio looked at the empty spot for a few seconds before returning to their quest.
