If you would have told me a year ago that I would be studying in Europe, had broken off my two year long relationship with my boyfriend, and meeting my favorite band, one direction,I would have called you crazy... Hell if you would have told me my favorite band would be one direction I would have said the same thing. Yet, here I am. Ali Stone 20 year old university student, studying in Strasbourg and meeting one direction. What have I gotten myself into...
So this is how it started.
1 year earlier...
"We've gone through this before." I sighed looking at Eric. He really was handsome; square jaw, broad shoulders, deep blue eyes, but his best feature had always been his personnality. Too bad over the last two and a half years we had grown, only apart.
"But I still don't understand" He went on. You could see tears forming at the corner of his eyes
"I just want something else out of life." I tried to explain. "I've just spend the last four months in Germany and now I heading back to Europe for the next ten months. It hurts me so much to say this but I just can't see myself with you right now in my life."
"Is it because you met someone new?" He asked desperation in his voice.
I see the tears now overflowing and I can feel my resolve breaking. No I hadn't met anyone else and no I don't plan to. How do you explain to the guy you were planning on spending the rest of your life with that you have a gut feeling that this is what you need to do? How do you explain to your boyfriend that you didn't even think about them during the four months you were away? How do you explain to them that you would text your best friend every day, snapchat, and skype EVERY DAY and you didn't even think of calling him? The answer: you don't
"Yeah I did meet someone and just the fact that I started looking tells me that my heart isn't really in it anymore. I'm sorry Eric but I have to go" I take one final look at his crying form, walk out of his life, and head towards the boarding area for my flight to Strabourg.
I look down at my phone and press play to the only thing that will bring joy to me. One direction
