It's been 6 weeks, but time has just flew by. I had all of my exams which took up the last few weeks and then I had to pack up my room for my trip back to Canada. I'm just sitting by my window looking out to the city I've come to love and think of as home.

My alarm on my phone rings letting me know it's time for me to leave. I really should be excited to be going, but it feels bittersweet. On the one hand I'm leaving this amazing place, leaving some amazing friends, having to live with my parents and their rules again- ugh- but on the other I actually get to see my family, my friends, my home town.

Oh and I guess I get to see Liam again too which is a plus. We've talked a bit over the last few weeks, but when he wasn't busy  I was and when I wasn't he was. But we expected it and are making the best of it.

Julie's also kept me updated on the boys and her relationship with Niall. When they left the two of them were semi-dating, but now they're in a full blown relationship, with Niall displaying it to the world every chance he gets. Honestly I was afraid the fans would hate her, but the best thing about Niall girls is that most of them are happy if he's happy, which he is. There have also been some awkward interactions on twitter with Niall's brother Greg, which makes me laugh way more than it should.

The plane ride home is long, but generally uneventfully. Walking out of the gate though was the best feeling in the world though. I see julie right away as she runs towards me screaming with joy. I spot Niall behind her wearing a hoodie that mostly consealed his identity, but because he's directly looking at me and walking towards me it's pretty obvious who it is.

After Julie releases me from a bear hug, Niall hugs me close then wraps his arm around Julie. I look around to see if Liam is with them and can't help but feel a pang of sadness when I don't see him.

"Don't worry you're going to love this." Julie whispers next to me. She and Niall are grinning like idiots which makes me feel queasy.

"There he is!" Niall then announces excitedly.

Really I don't understand why he had to annouce it because I couldn't have missed him if I tried. Not only for the fact that I can almost feel his presence, but also because he's walking in with a giant teddy bear holding a heart that says 'I missed you', while all of the security escorts behind him are carrying giant bouquets of orchids and Louis, Zayn and Harry are carrying giant 'Welcome home Alix!' banners.

Maybe I shouldn't have gotten off that plane...

When they reach me I think I've turned completely red and by the look on Liam's face I know I'm right. "Hey there love." That's all he says and that's all it takes.

I quickly take the giant bear and chuck it towards Niall and Julie to pull Liam into a bone crushing hug. "I've missed you so much." I say into his chest.

He pulls back to look into my eyes "Not as much as I've missed you Alix" and then he kisses me so passionately that if he weren't holding me up I think I would have crumbled.

We break apart when Harry not so subtly coughs right behind us. When I turn around I also see a crowd forming, presumably fans. "I think it's time to head out boys and girls" Harry says as he gestures towards more security.

"You guys can take pictures and stuff if you want." I say quickly not wanting to deprive some of these girls a once in a lifetime chance. I mean I'm a fan and if I were them I'd be so sad if I couldn't at least get a picture.

"This is why Harry, Louis, and Zayn are here." Liam says gesturing to the boys that were in the process of moving towards the teenage girls. Poor Zayn looked slightly uncomfortable, nothing new there I guess though. "Their the distraction to get us out and on that amazing date I promissed you." He added winking and taking my hand to lead me outside.

"Wait the date is tonight?" I ask confused as he dragged me towards the biggest strech limo I've ever seen in my life.

"Of course it is!" Liam says as he opens the door to let me in.

I look back to see if Julie and Niall are entering but my friend is enthusiastically waving goodbye as Niall laughs. I look back towards Liam as he opens up a bottle of my favorite white wine.

I thank him when he hands me a glass and finally take a good look at him. The man looked delectable in a suit and tie. I look back down to my jeans and band tee and feel increasingly under prepared. "So please tell me I'm going to be able to remmage through my suitcase for a semi appropriate outfit to wear tonight?"

Liam raises a brow at my question with the faintest of smiles tugging at his lips. "I think you look amazing."

I point up to the lopsided bun on top of my head that I'm sure looks destroyed after the 12hour trip. "I look like a barbie that got her hair partially burned of and you look like you stepped right out of GQ" I quickly gesture to the whole of him while downing more wine. It is really good.

"Well I guess it's a good thing I thought of everything right?"

I'm giving him my best wtf? look but he just laughs and gives me a quick kiss. "Best date ever remember?" He whispers in my ear as the limo comes to a stop.
