"And this is your room, Honey." Naomi's mom says with a smile. They just moved here, because her mom and her new stepdad, Frank wanted to live together
Naomi walks into her room and looks around. It is a small room. A bed, a desk and a closet nearly fit in there. One wall of the room is painted pink and it smells kind of weird. "Do we really have to live here?" she asks her mom with a straight face. And the smile on her moms face disappears. This is clearly not the reaction she expected. "Yes." does her mom say and then she leaves.
Naomi sits down on het bed and looks in the mirror which is hanging on the other side of the room. She is sad and mad at the same time. She didn't want to move here, to a new house and a new school. She didn't wanted her mom to get a new boyfriend. He will never be able to replace her dad. NEVER!! He can't, he won't and NO ONE ever will.
Naomi starts crying and thinks about the good times she had with her dad when she was little. Her dad died from cancer and that left an empty hole in her family. But things are changed now and Naomi is not sure if it's a good thing.
