A small piece of joy

Three months later when Naomi is finally used to her new house and her new school...

Naomi walks trough the hallways of her school to her locker. She turns left and almost arrived by her locker.

Then she sees him. The boy Naomi fell in love with the first day she saw him in de hallway. His name is Dave. He is really tall and quit muscled. His blond curls are always dancing around when he moves and his blue eyes sparkle when the sun hits his eyes. Naomi has never felt something like that for a boy before.
But sad enough he has a girlfriend. And not JUST a girlfriend. The headcheerleader from the school, who is also really pretty and really smart. LIKE HOW CAN ANYONE BE SO PERFECT....

Naomi stops walking for a moment and looks at the too standing together. She knows a boy like Dave would never fall for a girl like her.

Then she walks to her locker and puts her books away. Naomi closes her locker and turns around to go home. But all of a sudden Dave stands behind her. "Hi." He says with a smile. "Uhh... Hi.. How.. How are you?" It is hard for Naomi to bring those words up. She didn't expect him. "I'm really good, thank you." He is quite for a moment, but then he goes on. "I have a really important math test in about three weeks, but i'm terrible at math. Now I heared that you are really good at it, so I was wondering if you could maybe help me." His smile gets bigger and he turns his head a little bit. His face kind of reminds Naomi of a puppy. Naomi looks at him and the way he moves. For a moment she doesn't know what to say. "No... I mean... Yes... Ofcourse I can help you." She answer then. "Okay good, what are you doing tommorow at 3pm?" "Nothing really" Naomi answers. "I'll pick you up then. We can study at my house." Naomi is only able to smile at him. So Dave smiles back and then walks away.
For the first time in three months Naomi feels a bit happy.
