It was the last day of classes for that term and the teacher got the class to play a little game before they part ways. Two truths and a lie. Where a student will write three things about him, two truths and one lie, and another student will have to identify which was the lie. If he got the correct answer, then he'll gain a price.

The class played the game and have fun mostly until it was Soonyoung's turn. Picking a paper in the box, he smiled after knowing that it was Jihoon. They were not really close, no one was really close with Jihoon, but Soonyoung liked the pale kid very much. The smaller didn't attend school that much recently and it was the last day that's why he was thankful to get his name. At least to get a bit of interaction with him.

Jihoon walked in front and read the things he wrote aloud in class while Soonyoung, who was in front of him, listened.

1. Patient

2. I love sweets

Soonyoung's eyebrows formed a crease hearing the first two. He knew that Jihoon had quiet a bad temper and he definitely was not the sweet tooth type.

Hearing the third one, made his jaw fall.

3. I like Soonyoung

Jihoon looked at the boy in front of him and showed a small smile after he finished

Now everything seemed a lie for Soonyoung.

Did Jihoon even wrote a single truth?

Or maybe he didn't really know this boy in front of him to not know him well. Maybe he really was patient after all, he composed songs, he needed patience to match notes and beats and rhythms to make it perfect. Maybe he really liked sweets, he saw him ate a cake before.

Maybe the third one was the lie. It was impossible for Jihoon to fall for him, right?

But maybe, he could. Maybe it was possible.

"The first one" Soonyoung said as an answer when the teacher nudge him

"Deng!" Jihoon made a sound "it's the second" Jihoon said and the class was filled with 'ooohs' and other whispers, something like 'I told you he likes him' from a not so low voice of Jeonghan.

As if nothing happened, Jihoon picked a paper from the box and called out the name of the next student, making Soonyoung to be forced back to his seat, although he still couldn't exactly grasped what happened.

Jihoon's turn finished, also getting a wrong answer. It may be because he was not really close with that classmate or simply he didn't care about them. He went back to his seat, pretend to pay attention to what was going on until he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Soonyoung.

He looked back to him and raised his brows

"I never knew you are patient. I always thought your temper is--"

"I am" he cut off

Soonyoung nodded

"So you... like me?" Soonyoung asked and Jihoon simply nodded, as if it wasn't a big thing. As if he didn't just indirectly confessed.

"I like you too" Soonyoung shyly confessed, his cheeks flushing a cute shade of pink.

"Thank you" Jihoon answered and Soonyoung's brows were once again creased.

"Are we.... dating now?" Soonyoung asked. But Jihoon's face remained straight, no one knew how fast his heart was beating. How his plam was sweating with the sight of Soonyoung looking directly at him. With Soonyoung, also confessing to him.

"No" as if on cue, the bell rang signaling the dismissal. Jihoon immediately went out, rushing, ignoring the goodbyes and see you next term from his classmates, ignoring Soonyoung who panicked in cleaning his table to catch up with Jihoon.

Jihoon started running when he got at the ground floor. Pushing past every other student in his way. Running his way to get to his house. Hands trembling as he tried to insert the keys into the knob. He failed. Kicked the closed door before collapsing in front of it , whole body trembling, breaths uneven-- the door still closed.

He was never patient.

Soonyoung can actually get the answer right. But he meant the other meaning of patient. He meant that he was sick.

He was a patient. A sick person. A dying one. He shouldn't even be there now, he should just go straight to the hospital. It was impossible for him to get a perfect attendance, for he was always absent. He almost live in the hospital. He just begged to at least attend the school's last day, his last day at school. He was dying. He knew it. Sooner or later he would be back at his hospital bed, in pain and wishing that everything would just end. Waiting for his time.

He was happy though, even if he was having a hard time breathing after all the running, skin getting paler, head throbbing, he didn't regret going to school that day. At least before he go, he did two things: confessed to Soonyoung and bid goodbye, although both indirectly, he still did.
