The second I closed and locked my bedroom door, I started interrogating him.
"What was that?"
Phil raised an eyebrow. "What was what?"
"That little act downstairs!"
Phil shrugged. "Who said it was an act?"
I glared at him. "You weren't acting like you, which means it must have been an act!"
He sat down on my bed and started playing with the seams of my duvet. "I said I wanted to make a good impression, didn't I?"
Neither of us said anything for a few minutes, then Phil broke the silence.
"So, should we start that project or not?"
I looked at him in confusion. "Seriously, who are you and what have you done with Phil Lester?"
"What do you mean?"
"First, you act all innocent when you meet my mum. Then, you come up here and suggest we actually work on homework?"
"Yeah. Isn't that why I'm here? To work on this stupid project?"
I crossed my arms over my chest. "Well, yeah, but-"
"The sooner we get this done, the sooner I don't have to come over here anymore."
Phil unzipped his backpack and pulled out a notebook and a pen.
I sighed before doing the same. "Just remember to lose my number after this is done."
"No promises."
