I sit in the office of John's as I wait for the verbal beating I'm about to receive.
"What was that Harper?" He says calmly as he enters the office, nicely shutting the door. This is getting scary, I know he is about to snap.

"Are you serious?!" Called it. "Dumping water on her head! Then pouring the hot coffee in her purse! You, you!" I stare at him wide eyed, getting ready to explain my whole situation, he just doesn't understand what I went through. "Okay, look, I'm sorry, actually no I'm not. You don't know what she was doing." I huff towards him.
"Are you literally joking? This has happened multitudinous times, I think you need to go home." That's when I stop talking just to comprehend what he just said. "No you can't I need thi-"
"I didn't say I was firing you." He interrupts, I shut my mouth. "I'm just saying go home I'll settle all of this later, but however your job is still on the line." He scolds me,
"Yes, thank you John." I say as I stand up. "Yeah, now get out of here before Angela shows up and slaps the hell out of you. " I nod and head towards the door. "Thank you, I'll see you tomorrow. " I half smile even though he doesn't see it and walk out.
I pull out my phone and text the only person I know would be able to help me right now.
*Hey Lee, can I come over?
Within second I receive a reply.
*Sure thing sweetheart, but I'm not home right now, can you find something to do for about 35 minutes before you come over? I'm at the mall with my sister, shouldn't take much longer:)
I reply with an okay and a thank you, although I'm mentally saying 'What the heck am I suppose to do in thirty five minutes?' Coffee! I could just go to like Starbucks or something, yea I guess I'll go to Starbucks and use up their wifi playing some game on my phone, or maybe checking gossip girls again just to see what's going on.
********************
I can tell by the nineteen year olds expression, she really doesn't want to be here.
"Welcome to Starbucks." She sighs then continues, "What would you like today?" She so politely say, note the sarcasm, I look at the menu all the names making me feel like an idiot due to the pronouncing you must have to do. I try to keep it simple, "Yeah, may I have a medium caramel vanilla latte, please?" I can tell by the look she is giving me, manners sound like a foreign language. "$11.56, would you like to donate an extra dollar to help the children's hospital?" There it is, that same bored expression, like she's been saying the same thing over and over. "Um, yeah, I'll donate." I go to put my dollar in the small box decorated with the sick children in head scarfs, when my open wallet drops and spills every thing in it, which isn't much, just a lot of change. I hear the girl sigh as she readjusts her footing.
"I'm so sorry." I say as I bend down to pick up all my pennies and nickels when I hear a voice.
"Here and get me the same thing that she is having. $11.56, so right around $25 yeah? Keep the change." I look up to see a man maybe 23? He looks close to my age of 21, he has dark brown hair that is spiked up nicely, he is wearing a pair of dark denim jeans and a button up light blue short sleeve shirt. "And the name I'm suppose to write down is?" The girl questions, clearly annoyed. "Well since no one is behind us, and we still have change to pick up." Oh right the whole reason why I'm on the floor. "I think we can just wait for our drinks." He states, still thinking he opens his mouth to speak again, "How much change do I have?" She sighs again, "$2.85." She yawns, "We will both have a blueberry muffin." He nods to her, as a sign of thank you, and bends down to help me pick up my change.
"You know you didn't have to pay for me, I had it handled." I look up quickly to see him smirk. "Yeah and I'm Iron Man, hey it's okay, but I do think you owe it to me, to let me join you." I finish shutting my wallet when the girl shows up with the drinks. I'm on the verge of telling him that there are other seats and he doesn't have to sacrifice his time to converse with me, but something is telling me other wise.
"Sure, go ahead." I say as we walk to a spot.
