DENISE POV:

It was the end of class and the bell just dismissed us. Everyone was rushing out the door. I put my stuff in my bag and walk to the front of the class.

I stood at his desk. "Can I get my phone back now?"

"Why are you so in a hurry come sit." He pointed to a chair next to him. I rolled my eyes. "I don't have time to talk I have to go to the daycare."

His eyebrows raised and he tilted his head a little. "Oh you got a kid."

I folded my arms and looked at him. "What are you so surprised about?"

He threw his hands up. "Just a little taken back that you have a kid."

I shifted my weight from one leg to the other.

"Well I don't have no kids just got to get my baby brother, we have a long walk home," I said getting off the desk.

His eyes went big. "You walking in the rain!" 

Rain? What is he talking about? I looked out the window and it was raining hard. I'm surprised I didn't hear it.

"I'll give y'all a ride." He started getting his stuff and walked out the class. He waited for me at the door and when I walked out he locked it.

We got out of the school and ran to his car. It was a silver 2021 Porsche 911.

"This your car?" I said shocked getting in the car.

A teacher's salary isn't that much. Something doesn't seem right with this picture.

He started the car and it roared to life. "Yea this is mines. So tell me where this daycare at."

"Behind the school." He pulled out the parking lot. Once we got there I ran to the door trying to avoid getting wet. I sign Alex out and said bye to everyone. Once I got to the car Mr.Alsina got out the car and put Alex in while I got in the car.

"Thanks," I said once he got in the car.

He started to pull out the parking lot. "No problem, so where do you live?"

"My address is 263 Cherrytail street."

He looked at me like I was crazy. "Damn you live far. You seriously was going to walk?"

"Honestly it's not a far walk all you have to do is avoid that big hill because that's the hard part."  I shrugged my shoulders.

He gave me a nod and started to drive.

50 minutes later

We finally made it. It wasn't raining anymore so I got out got with Alex and I things. I got Alex I was about to walk off but I felt like I had forgot something.

I checked to see I had everything.
I looked back to see Mr. Alsina still waiting there. "Thank you Mr.Alsina for the ride." He gave me a nod and I walked off to my apartment.

Once I got in the house I looked at Alex and he was sleep so I took him out the car seat and put him in the crib. I had to go to work so I went to the bathroom started the shower. I was thinking about today. Not so bad for the first day of school I guess.

AUGUST POV:

I pulled off from Denise house when I felt something vibrate in my pocket. I took it out and seen it was Denise phone.

"Shit I forgot to give her back," I said to myself. I made a u-turn and went back to her house.

Wait which door did she go into again.

DENISE POV:

I got out the shower and heard a knock at the door. My eyes rolled to my head as I groaned. It better not be Dory again. I wrap the towel around me and went to answer the door.

"Who is it." I got no answer. I said it again and once again I got no answer. I cracked the door.

Mr.Alsina and my neighbor Tony was standing outside of my door. "Uh hi."

"This guy was looking for you." Tony was giving Mr.Alsina a side eye making me smile. "It's cool thanks for the help." He looked at me then Mr.Alsina before giving me a nod and walking off.

Mr.Alsina was standing right in my door way looking uncomfortable. He was about to say something until I heard Alex cry. "I'm sorry you can come in if you want." I walked off to my room leaving my door open.

Alex pacifier was not in his mouth and he was crying his little head off. I put the pacifier in his mouth and picked him up. I walked to the living room and Mr. Alsina was standing in my living room looking around at the things I had in it.

I rocking a little so Alex will fall back to sleep. "Sorry about that what were you going to say."

He took my phone out his pocket. "Uh I forgot to give your phone back."

"Thanks," I said feeling kinda awkward.

I then remembered I was just in a towel. "Well I have to get dress and go to work so I'll see you tomorrow Mr.Alsina."

"Alright I'll see you Denise." He smirked before leaving.

What the fuck was that all about. I looked at my phone and seen that Stacy texted me saying she's on her way. I texted back okay and went to my room.

"Thank god for my friend. If it wasn't for them I would have been got fired from my job." I got dress and feed Alex.

I heard my front door being open knowing it was only one person who has the keys.

"Hey." Stacy called out.
I walked out my room and she hugged me. I hugged her back but I laughed while doing so. "I just seen you 2 hours ago what's up with the hugs."

"You didn't hear?" She looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"What." I looked at her confused.

"Nanee got shot." Tears continued to spill down her cheeks. My heart started to race at the news. "What the hell you mean he got shot?"
